How to create an account on Snapchat

Snapchat is a fun application that allows you to send short snap photos and videos to your friends. These snaps are only visible for a few seconds and then they are permanently deleted. This application is available for free on iPhone and Android systems.

Download the application The download process is similar for both iPhones and iPas and Android devices:
iPhone or iPad: Open Snapchat in the App Store, click Get, and then Install.
Android: Open Snapchat in the Play Store and then press Install.
Snapchat is designed to work on smartphones, so you may experience problems if you try to use it on a tablet. [1]

Open Snapchat. It is an application whose icon contains the image of a white ghost.

Click on Register. By doing, you will go to a page from where you can create a new Snapchat account.

Enter your name Write your first and last name in the corresponding spaces.

Press the button Register and accept.

Enter your birth date and press the Continue button. You must be 13 or older to open a Snapchat account. If your date of birth indicates that you are under 13, you will be redirected to Snapkidz. [2]

Enter a username and click on the Continue button. Your username will be the "Snapchat ID" that other users should search to add you. You can not modify it, so carefully choose one with which you would like to associate your Snapchat account.
You can choose a name to show at another time. This will be the name that your friends can see and can be anything you want. Keep in mind that you can change it as much as you want.

Enter your email address and press the Continue button. This address will serve to verify the changes you make to your Snapchat account.
Snapchat will send you a verification email. Check your tray and follow the instructions to verify your email.

Enter a password and press the Continue button. If you want your password to be secure, use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as numbers and symbols.

Enter a phone number and press the Continue button. Use the number associated with the device in which you installed the application.

If you want to skip this step, press "Do not allow" and then "Continue."
If you want to add someone who is not in the contacts of your phone, you must search manually. To do this, press the search icon located at the top right of the "Add friends" screen and then search for your Snapchat username.

Take a picture that expresses your feelings and post it for fun. Once you have created and configured your account, and added your friends, you can send snaps immediately. To take it, go to Snapchat's main screen, which is basically the same as your phone's camera. Press the large button at the bottom center and take a picture or keep it pressed to record a quick video.

Edit the image After taking a snap, you can make a series of editions.
You can add a legend to the picture by pressing the screen once. When doing so, the keyboard will appear and you will be able to write the legend or the message, as well as some designs.
You can draw on the image by pressing the pencil icon located in the upper right part of the screen. When doing so, a bar of colors will appear, which you can slide up or down to select the color of the pencil.
If you want, you can add stickers, emojis or bitmojis. Press the "Decals" button located at the top of the screen (it looks like a sticky note folded to the left of the letter "T"). Slide the list to the left and right to see the different categories and scroll down to see the selection. When you click on an emoji, you can add it to the image and then you can use your finger to drag it to the exact location where you want it. You can add as many stickers as you want in your snap.
You can create a decal by pressing the scissors icon located at the top of the screen and then use your finger to outline any part of the video, such as a person's face. Now you have created a sticker that you can move to any part of the screen using your finger.
You can change the filter or add a legend of time, temperature or speed by sliding the screen to the left.
