OyaYansa
UN- Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva will present appeals to the Supreme Court and the UN to allow him to contest the presidential elections in October after the electoral authorities denied him his registration as a candidate on Saturday. This strategy was announced by Fernando Haddad who was the former mayor of Sao Paulo and former Minister of Education after a visit to the former president, who is serving a sentence in prison for corruption of 12 years, according to EFE. The members of the Workers Party (PT) expect Lula to announce his resignation from the electoral dispute and appointed Haddad as the new candidate for the presidency, although that did not happen and the ex-governor insisted on the candidacy of Da Silva.
