CNE: Applications for municipal councils must be joint

UN.- On Monday the rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tania D'amelio, informed that the nominations for the elections of municipal councils scheduled for December 9, must have a parity and alternate composition in the exercise of the rights of political participation.

Through her Twitter account, the president recalled that the measure corresponds to the provisions of Electoral Gazette number 758, dated June 29, 2015.

In that sense and in accordance with the norm, the rector explained that the applications must have a Joint and alternate composition of 50% for each sex, "in cases where it is not possible to apply parity, this nomination must have at least 40% and a maximum of 60% for each sex, both principal and substitute, nominal or list ".

According to the electoral timetable, the online application process will take place between September 10 and 19 and the presentation of collections to the municipal meetings will be from September 19 to 24, in this way, it will be reviewed by AVN.
