Castellano, Chirinos and Gálviz won classicsImperial-Hint-Javier-Castellano-Alfred-G

Iván Roa Frías.- Up to 29 victories were won by the Venezuelan horse racing professionals who work in the different racecourses of the world and of that amount 3 were in classic competitions.

 

Six riders achieved a pair of victories, with special significance achieved by Charle Oliveros last Sunday at the Mountaineer Racetrack in New Cumberland, West Virginia. Those successes allowed him to reach 61 in that oval, to take hold in the third place of statistics.

They also crossed the finish line in winnings on a couple of occasions: Francisco Arrieta (Canterbury Racecourse in Minnesota); Sonny León (Belterra Park, Ohio); Karlo López (Araphoe Park, Colorado); Frank Reyes (Ruidoso Downs, New Mexico); and Leonel Reyes (Gulfstream Park, Florida).

It is noteworthy that Javier Castellano only got a first, but it was a classic, the Alfred G. Vandebilt Handicap, with $ 350,000 in prizes to be distributed, in Saratoga, New York. They also achieved selective: Roimes Chirinos; the Land of Enchantment Handicap, in Albuquerque New Mexico and Wilmer Gálviz; the Princess Margaret Stakes, in Northlands Park, Canada. Both tests were endowed with 50 thousand dollars of global prize.

Agustin Bracho (Thistledown - Ohio); Richard Bracho (Turfway Park-Keeneland); Samy Camacho (Gulfstream Park); Angel Castillo (Monmouth Park - Chicago, Illinois); Daniel Centeno (Laurel Park - Maryland); Santiago González (Del Mar - California); Emisael Jaramillo (Gulfstream Park); Juan Diego López (Gulfstream Park); Jonathan Mancilla (Hippodrome V Centenario - Dominican Republic); Neptalí Ortiz (Northlands Park); Mychel Sanchez (Parx Racing - California) and Keyner Zonett (V Centenario Racetrack) triumphed once.

Between the preparers, Eduardo Azpúrua Jr. and Víctor Barboza Jr. were portrayed in the winners' enclosure once each, on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 respectively, in Gulfstream Park, Florida.
