The game was painted Vinotinto from start to finish, with an overwhelming domination of the national team. It was in the 29th minute when Antonio Romero, with a popcorn, crystallized the domain on the scoreboard.

Before going to the break, Venezuela put the padlock to the meeting with a free kick inside the area of Daniel Saggiomo that sent the ball directly to the square.

El Salvador improved in the second half, but found a solid and unprecedented defense of three elements raised by Rafael Dudamel and a very safe goalkeeper Miguel Silva, who debuted in the contest.

On the final, the newly entered Ronaldo Chacón sentenced the commitment with a strong shot from outside the area that could not stop the goalkeeper Mario González.
