OyaYansa
Instagram wants to give users of public accounts more control over the list of people who follow them, and for that they are testing a function that allows them to eliminate followers. This solution is less aggressive than blocking and more flexible than having the account in private mode. Right now, public account owners do not have a tool to remove unwanted users from the list of Instagram followers. You always have the possibility to block a follower and you can also put your profile in private, but you may not want to reach those extremes. The new feature will land to offer greater flexibility between these two options, giving users more control over the people who follow them. The company has confirmed the function to eliminate followers in Instagram public accounts, and although for the moment it has not wanted to advance anything else about the new feature, some captures have appeared that show its possible operation. This has been shown by Matt Navarra on his Twitter account and also by The Verge, who have published screens that collect part of the process to erase followers. As you can see, an arrow will appear next to each of the followers in the list, and clicking on it will show a message to confirm the deletion. The text of the pop-up window ensures that the other person will not receive any informational notice that you have deleted it from your list, so you will not know what you have done, unless you manually enter your profile and see that it does not follow you. With this movement, the platform continues to offer new tools to grant more control to users while maintaining discretion. Thus, recently the function was implemented to silence the accounts that you follow, which allows you to stop seeing someone's posts while continuing to follow him. At the moment it is unknown when this new function of Instagram will be available for all. You can check if you have it active by visiting the followers tab in your application.
