Liverpool's £37million summer signing shone against old club Roma but opted not to celebrate

Liverpool's chances of ending the 2017-18 season with a piece of silverware are contingent on whether the Reds can overcome the European juggernaut that is Real Madrid in the Champions League final. Mohamed Salah, on the other hand, will end this campaign with at least 34 individual accolades in his trophy cabinet.

Salah has racked up the awards this term and hasn't relented in his pursuit of further glory, sweeping up all the major end-of-season gongs too.

Here, Sportsmail looks at the 34 accolades the forward has won during his first season at Anfield.

Weekly Awards

Champions League Player of the Week x 3

The first of his three weekly gongs in Europe's premier competition came in a fixture where Liverpool made a small piece of history. Salah scored two and assisted another as Liverpool destroyed Maribor 7-0 to record the biggest away win by an English team in the history of the Champions League.

The next two awards came at pivotal moments in the knockout stages. Salah inspired Liverpool's 3-0 victory against Manchester City with a goal and an assist to be crowned the competition's player that week.

He then followed it up with another elite performance in the first leg of the semi-final against his former side, Roma, scoring twice and assisting twice more as the Reds romped to a 5-2 triumph.

Champions League Goal of the Week x 2

More than just a goal machine, Salah is a player with a penchant for big moments, too. The first of his weekly goal awards came courtesy of his signature chip in the second leg of the quarter-final against Manchester City.

Liverpool's three-goal advantage had been reduced to two and City continued to push for an second, only for Salah to strike a dagger in the heart of Pep Guardiola's men.

Roberto Firmino struck later in the match to secure a commanding 5-1 aggregate victory, a win made far easier because Salah struck at the key moment.

Monthly Awards

Premier League Player of the Month x 3

November saw Liverpool face four league fixtures and Salah score at least two in three of those four games. Doubles against West Ham, Southampton and Stoke, as well as a solo effort against former side Chelsea, saw him crowned the league's best player in the penultimate month of 2017.

February was another month in which Salah scored in every single league game his side played in, ending the month with four goals and two assists to his name including a double against Tottenham.

His final award saw him make history, as Salah became the first to win three Player of the Month awards in the same season after netting six times, including four in one match against Watford.

PFA Player of the Month x 4

Salah took home the PFA Player of the Month on four occasions this season – in November, December, February and March.

Fans vote to decide who is crowned the winner after a panel decides on a six-man shortlist. When he took home March's gong, he secured 80 per cent of the vote, a testament to his overwhelming dominance.

Congratulations to the hero of Egypt and the best player in the world
