This 1968 Dodge Charger has a Viper engine and 1,000 horsepower

John Eriksson and his team have dedicated five years of work to create this 1968 Dodge Charger with Dodge Viper engine , a mechanic that has also been extensively modified so that now produces an impressive 1,000 HP of power. Jay Leno , the famous American television presenter and great collector of all kinds of motorized devices, shows us this detail in detail in his last video.

This spectacular classic reinvented with modern pieces was shown at the beginning of the past SEMA Show 2017 , where it generated an enormous expectation for the quality of the work done by Eriksson. It is a 1968 Dodge Charger RTR that has been modified from top to bottom, highlighting especially the incorporation of a colossal block 8.2 V10 supercharged with two huge turbochargers so that delivers a forceful 1,000 hp.

This propeller is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox that sends all that power to the rear tires. And although it may not seem so at first glance, this imposing classic capable of ridiculing a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat (test) has a roof 40 mm lower than the original model, while to ensure maximum structural rigidity, the body sits on an evolution of the Chevrolet Corvette chassis from the previous generation to the current one.

One last thing before leaving you with the video, this Viper-powered Charger has not been built in the United States. It really comes from a European country, from Sweden, which has more merit still.
