Suddenly, without warning and without waiting for it, you will go to work, surf the Internet or do another task with your computer and all the alarms go off: my computer does not work!

If your PC does not start, crashes, restarts, shows errors, works very slowly or has a strange behavior, it can be due to a multitude of reasons. But do not panic: the first thing you have to do if your computer has problems is to detect what is causing them to remedy it.

On many occasions, it is not necessary to be an expert in computer equipment to identify what is interfering in the proper functioning of your computer. In this article we tell you what are the most frequent problems with your PC and how to solve them so that you can fix them yourself. Let's go point by point to find the root of the problem.

5. My PC starts very slow
One of the most common problems with our PC is that it starts very slow or has problems to start the session. This may be because a program is interfering with the proper functioning of Windows, so you can do it is to deactivate the programs on startup to see if they are responsible.

To do this, follow the steps that we indicate below:

Access the Task Manager using the search engine or Cortana.
Go to the Home tab to see the applications that start when Windows 10 starts.
Look for programs that have High or Medium values in the Start Impact column, since they may be slowing down the boot process. Disable them by pressing the right button on the word Enabled in the Status column.

4. My computer is very slow
If your computer does not work well and you notice that it is very slow, the problem may be that you have opened a program that is consuming a lot of RAM. To check if this is the reason why your PC is slow, follow these steps:

Access the task manager by pressing the Ctrl + Alt + Delete keys.
In the Processes tab, look for the Memory column, which is the one that collects the use that the programs and processes are making of the RAM memory. Click on it so that the results are displayed in order.
Next, see what is consuming the most memory and end the heaviest tasks by right-clicking and selecting the corresponding option. Of course, never close processes that you do not know, since you could finish an essential task for the system.
Another problem that can make your computer go slow is that your hard drive is running out of space. In Windows 10 you can check the memory that is free from My computer. In case it is close to completion, you can follow these 5 tricks to free up space on your PC.

3. My computer has a strange behavior
Have you detected strange behavior on your computer? For example, if you open windows that you have not requested, if the icons on the desktop have been moved or if the light of the webcam is turned on without you having activated them, it is likely that your computer has been infected by malware.

If your computer does not work properly and you have detected strange things, it is best to start it in Windows 10 Safe Mode with network functions by pressing the 5 or F5 keys when the computer is starting up. In this way, malicious programs will not detect cleaning tools. Then, perform a full scan with your antivirus software and remove the malware.

2. My PC restarts, crashes, displays an error screen or does not start
If you have installed a program, a driver or a new device and now your computer does not work, it is possible that an element is blocking the use or the start of Windows, or that two peripherals have come into conflict. In case the blue screen of the death of Windows has appeared, here we tell you everything you can do to solve the problem.

If what happens is that your PC reboots, crashes, displays a black screen or does not start, you can do the following to solve the problem:

First, access the Microsoft software download page from another computer to download a Windows 10 disk image to a USB memory or DVD.
Next, insert the USB or the DVD into the failed PC and restart it.
The Windows installation screen will appear, where you can select the Repair equipment option. If this option does not appear, it means that the computer is not configured to start from a unit. To change the boot order and the BIOS you will have to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Now, click on the Troubleshoot option and then select Advanced options> Startup configuration> Restart.
When the PC restarts, press the 5 or F5 keys to restart the computer in Safe mode with network functions. Then, go to Device Manager by typing its name in the search field of the taskbar and displaying the Display Adapters. In case two appear, disable one of them, and if there is only one click on it with the right mouse button, select Properties and then Revert to the previous controller.
Restart when you finish to apply the changes.
