The Asian company launched an investigation a few days ago after receiving customer reports. These complaints claimed to have detected fraudulent activities in the bank card after having made the purchase of a terminal of the brand. Finally, the worst suspicions are confirmed and everything is due to the fact that the card payment system of the company has been hacked. To communicate to users the security breach suffered, OnePlus has sent a letter to its customers confirming the attack and offers a detailed explanation of what happened. According to the document, one of the systems on the oneplus.net page was attacked by means of a malicious scrip that was introduced in the payment page, in order to capture the data as the user entered them to process their purchase. I bought a OnePlus recently. Am I affected? In total it is estimated that there are 40,000 people affected by the OnePlus security breach. According to the company, these are some customers who entered their credit or debit card information between mid-November 2017 and January 11, 2018. Therefore, it is not a failure of a few hours or days, but it goes back to two months ago. Yes, those who made the payment by a saved credit card are not affected, as well as those who paid the amount through the credit card method via PayPal or those who paid directly with their PayPal account.
