"I can confirm that all the stolen jewels were found in the bag recovered by the police officers," said the sources, quoted by the British news agency Reuters. The three thieves, all in their 30s, were arrested after being trapped in the building, although two escorts waiting outside managed to escape. The car used in the escape has been found about 20 kilometers north of Paris, in the area from which the three arrested. Although at first it was reported that the stolen jewels were valued at 4.5 million euros, it has been clarified that this figure corresponds to the total value of jewels on display in the store. The security of Cambon Street, where the Ritz is located, was reinforced in 2014 after several neighbors reported similar thefts.
