If you are going to install CCleaner on your computer to clean your computer of unnecessary files and accelerate the operation, pay attention when you download it because the installer has integrated security software Avast Antivirus.

Last July, Avast bought Piriform, the manufacturer of CCleaner and other programs for PC, Mac and mobile. After the acquisition, the representatives of the companies stated that Piriform's products would be sold separately from Avast's, although they would seek to exploit some synergies.

The guys at ghacks.net have detected one of these synergies in which until now we had not repaired. The strategy is to integrate the Avast Free antivirus into the CCleaner installer, so that users who are not very attentive during the process will end up installing the security software without realizing it.

As you can see below in the image, in the lower part of the window to start the installation there is a section that indicates that CCleaner recommends Avast Antivirus. The Get Avast Free Antivirus now box is checked by default, so if the user clicks on the button without paying attention to the rest of the window, it will end up with the security software installed on the computer. Therefore, keep this in mind if you intend to install CCleaner on your PC and uncheck the box if you already have a program to protect you from malware.

However, this does not mean that Avast Free Antivirus is a dangerous program; On the contrary, it is one of the best free antivirus that you can install right now. The problem is that the installation is carried out in this way, without a good part of the users being aware of what is happening.

Despite the security problems presented last September, CCleaner continues to be one of the most po[CENSORED]r cleaners for Windows, Mac and mobile devices that has more than 150 million users worldwide. Therefore, with this move Avast intends to gain facilities and be present in a greater number of teams.
