While it is true that Windows 10 is a safer operating system and the only one that can stand up to these types of infections without emergency security patches, not everyone has their installation on the computer. According to Reuters, both India and Microsoft are finalizing a deal to significantly reduce Windows 10 licenses in that country, and that as a result of the recent ransomware attacks. Negotiations began following WannaCry's attacks, and the agreement would be close to being announced, local officials said.
