The clock is still running against all Windows users who have not already upgraded to W10. It already touched those who still used Windows XP, and now Microsoft goes for Vista, version of the operating system that will be without support tomorrow.

This is a common maneuver, not only by Microsoft but by all companies. It serves to force users to upgrade the operating system to a newer, theoretically more secure and efficient version. That way they avoid having to support and launch security patches for too many OS versions at once.

Vista, a failure sounded
Luckily for everyone, especially for Microsoft, this time the death of Windows Vista will not cause as many problems as Windows XP. The latter monopolized a market share of 25% when it ended its support, while Viste only retains a scarce 1%.

The one considered the worst Windows version of history will happen tomorrow to a better life. If you still have it installed on your computer, it will still work, but without updates that protect it from security breaches and vulnerabilities.

Windows 10, a bet for the future
It is an open secret that what the company based in Redmond pursues is the largest possible market share for W10, its flagship operating system today. It has not yet finished moving XP and W7, although it is already the most po[CENSORED]r OS in the world, especially among gamers.

To reach this point, in addition to canceling the technical support to the previous Windows, it has been necessary an update campaign not exempt of controversy. At first it was forced to update millions of machines, causing quite unpleasant incidents.

At least then upgrading to W10 was free. Now that you have finished that offer you can still get the OS without paying with some other trick, but it is much more complicated.

The bet by this system is quite decided, so much that already has arrived its first great update, Creators Update. With it, Microsoft wants to take advantage of a noticeable improvement in its public image not only to dominate the software market, but also the hardware market. Both the Surface and the new Studio are two projects with which clearly wants to compete against Apple in this segment.
