Microsoft has one of the referents of convertible tablets in the form of the Surface Pro range that could be close to receiving a fifth generation in view of the latest information. This successor of Surface Pro 4, a convertible launched a year and a half ago, would be at the gates of its presentation and seems to be betting on a design and characteristics very continuist, which is not expected to include any revolutionary change.

This is indicated by the technological journalist Paul Thurrot, who has come to his official Twitter account to advance alleged details of this new Microsoft convertible. As you have learned from sources close to the project, "Surface Pro 5 will not change the Surface Connect current connector. Kaby Lake, nothing dramatic. " The bet, again, by this connector, seems to indicate that those of Redmond do not want to risk not to squander the compatibility of the previous accessories, whereas the step to Kaby Lake was one of the sung additions.

Neither is expected major changes in the design, and more knowing that the Surface Pro has a body that is elegant and difficult to overcome, being risky a major change in this regard. Some of the new features of the Surface Pro 5 would be 4K screen and a Surface Pen with wireless load, although nothing confirmed. Other rumors also include the possibility of seeing faster SSD drives, adopting USB type C and even Thunderbolt 3.

The announcement of Surface Pro 5 could happen at a dedicated event throughout this spring, although everything seems to indicate that as it will very soon be throughout the month of May. With the update of Creators Update for Windows 10, Microsoft seems to be making time to announce this convertible at a later date and thus take advantage of the new features that are looming for the operating system.
