Playboy™ Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 A teaser of the new Volvo V90 Cross Country has dropped; new off-road estate will be revealed in "mid-September" The Volvo V90 range is set to expand beyond the estate, as Volvo has confirmed that a more rugged Cross Country variant is on the way in a new teaser video. The video talks about the history of Volvo's Cross Country models, and gives us a brief glimpse at the new V90 Cross Country estate. The new high-riding estate will be revealed in "mid-September", which Volvo says will complete its 90 Series of cars. Håkan Samuelsson, President & CEO, Volvo Car Group, said: "Cross Country has become the true expression of a Volvo car in many peoples’ eyes. It was a winning concept from the start, perfect for the tough climate and road conditions that we experience in Sweden." The teaser comes soon after we caught the off-road estate testing in Spain in June. Although that car was heavily camouflaged, it was clearly a Volvo shape, and the raised ride height pointed to the cars improved off-road ability. Four-wheel drive will be standard on the Cross Country models.
