::OK::King Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 LeBron James remained in the locker room bathroom wearing shoes instead of sneakers while the time is approaching when the Cavaliers play another game without him. But the only pain that afflicts him these days is not being on the court. After a week of receiving treatment on his back and knee, four-time MVP of the NBA said his body is responding well to rest and rehabilitation, she hopes to return soon to the activity. James said that injuries have bothered throughout his first season back in Cleveland and finally relented and decided to rest. "I have not felt great in it all year," he said. "I've had periods where I felt good for a game or two and after that I had to play with a lot of pain. I've been a competitive guy and I want to be with my teammates. I feel better right now than I have me sense for much of the season. " James said it was hard to walk away and not play, but I had more options. "Finally he listened to my body," he said. "It was affecting my game. Once I saw that my game was affected by my stupidity, then I looked in the mirror and realized that I do the best for me. It was one of the most difficult and intelligent decisions I've made." James intends to travel with the Cavaliers to their upcoming five-game West Coast. The Cavs had originally set January 15 as the date of return of James and it seems that no change in plans. "Help to go to warmer cities and my body could do that," he said smiling. James believes his knee and back injuries are related. "Everything is a correlation," he said. "I think everything works together for some strange reason. Just think my back and my knee worked together and my back feels a little better, my knee feels a little better. I think we are on track to return as close to 100% as possible. so I'm excited about what's coming in the next week. " During the absence of James, the Cavs made two major exchanges. The team acquired the J.R. escorts Smith and Iman Shumpert of the New York Knicks on Monday in an operation that involved three teams and sent to the base Dion Waiters to Oklahoma City. On Wednesday, Cleveland sent two first-round picks to Denver for center Timofey Mozgov, giving the team the indwelling presence that has sought all season. Mozgov fill an even bigger after injury of the Brazilian power forward Anderson Varejao, who's torn Achilles tendon and will miss the entire season through. James lamented the departure of Waiters, but understands that the business of the NBA can be brutal. "The additions we've made in the last few days I think we benefit much," he said. "I think JR is the guy who opens the pitch, you can create his own shot and is a very athletic player who I think has 51 playoff games, so definitely helps with experience. "Shump is a young man who I think can be molded into what was Jimmy Butler (Chicago) a few years ago, a guy who comes out to defend the opponent's best scorer and will contain the best way possible." The Cavs have not met expectations, but James said the renovated campus does not mean that the computer is starting from scratch. "No, do not go back to the beginning," he said. "The guys who come will have to learn fast. The good thing is that they get guys who have played a lot. I know Mozgov played for coach (David) Blatt in the Russian team. That helps in your relationship with him. JR has possibly seen all systems, although coach brought him across the world, will adjust very quickly and I'm sure Shumpert too. "It will start from zero. We have no time to do, but still a process."
