::OK::King
The 2014 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is a truly amazing automobile. It can only be described with powerful terms for its invincible-like power. It generates an enormous 1,001 horsepower, comes with a $1,487,640 price tag, and is equipped with an incredible 8.0-liter, quad-turbocharged W16-cylinder engine, which is connected to a computer-controlled seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic. The all-wheel drive Veyron can effortlessly cruise at 200 mph and beyond. As a matter of fact, if it weren’t for its creative aerodynamics, which keeps it on the road even at high speed, it would literally lift the car off the ground. It takes this exceptional car only 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph and it needs even less time–a mere 2.3 seconds–to come to a standstill. To decrease the possibility of injuries, its Formula 1-adapted safety features stop the car from going 60 mph to zero in 2.3 seconds. Incredible right? According to Left Lane News, Gordon Murray, designer of the McLaren F1, was very doubtful of the Veyron during its development, but after driving the completed car, he agreed it is a “huge achievement.” Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson also publicly stated in Left Lane News that the Veyron was ridiculous and would never be built, only to call it the “best car ever made” after he drove it. He famously characterized it as “utterly, stunningly, mind blowingly, jaw droppingly brilliant.” The Veyron flawlessly achieves an equal combination of high sophistication and modern machinery. It will be on display at the 106th Chicago Auto Show, Feb. 8-
