According to British newspaper 'The Sunday Telegraph', the bankruptcy of Marussia's Formula 1 team could see Ferrari lose £16.6m (€21m) and McLaren £7.1m (€9m).
The newspaper accessed documents from the British financial consultants, FRP Advisory to highlight that both Fernando Alonso's former and current teams are amongst some 200 companies owed money by Marussia.
The Italian company supplied engines to Marussia's cars, whilst the British provided them with engineering services. The Russian Formula 1 team began to hit rock bottom in December 2013 when it announced net losses of £11m (€14m), before declaring itself bankrupt last October after four years of poor results out on the track, during which they only managed two points in the World Championship.
