  1. been presented as an objectionable act, and that the Enclave, Fallout's traditional villains, should be portrayed as a more heroic faction. Fallout Wastelanders in vault suits viewed from behind Aqua(opens in new tab), a Fallout 76 roleplayer who has been at the helm of several groups over the years, attested to being pressured by the EAF to abide by its rules and exclude certain players, including Green. "Hearing that the EAF and Grey Fox forcefully curated their members' friends lists is unsurprising," Aqua explained, "given my own personal experiences with him trying to dictate who others played with." [The Fallout 76 RP community] is kind, welcoming, inclusive, and creative. It is filled with wonderful people, from all over the world, and from all walks of life. Further, while the group's website condemned intolerance and asserted allyship with the LGBTQ+ community, Aqua noticed some EAF members letting slip disturbing ideological commitments that dovetail with the group's fantasy. Aqua describes lamenting to a group of EAF players how some Fallout roleplay groups attract a white supremacist element, with an EAF officer replying: "Well, what's wrong with white supremacists?" Zero, the former EAF member who spoke to us, said that group leader Grey Fox and other members expressed an uncomfortable interest in the military of Rhodesia. Rhodesia was a white apartheid state in what is now Zimbabwe, and fought a bloody war from 1964 to 1979 in an effort to suppress democratic rule by the country's majority black po[CENSORED]tion. It has a similar "Lost Cause" mystique to white supremacists as the American Confederacy. The anonymous Fallout roleplayer we spoke to said they didn't observe right-wing or white supremacist rhetoric, but were repeatedly called a homophobic slur by an officer in the group. During the initial wave of public scrutiny, the EAF's official accounts attempted to remain in-character, conversely arguing with critics or proceeding as if nothing had happened. On January 7, however, the group deleted its website, Twitter, and Instagram, with only a private Discord and bare RedBubble(opens in new tab) store remaining to mark its passing. It's unclear how many members remain devoted to the group, but the members of the Fallout 76 roleplay community we spoke to seem optimistic about the scene's future, now that the EAF has left. Groups like The Outriders and Five-0 New Responders condemned the EAF and its actions, while Aqua stressed to me that "[The EAF] do not represent the vast majority of Fallout 76's player base or RP groups… [The Fallout 76 RP community] is kind, welcoming, inclusive, and creative. It is filled with wonderful people, from all over the world, and from all walks of life." 3. Microsoft’s Edge browser could be going big on rounded corners with a fresh potential change spotted in (limited) testing right now. Neowin(opens in new tab) reports that XenoPanther highlighted the possible change on Twitter, with a screenshot showing Edge Canary (the earliest testing version) featuring rounded corners for the actual area of the browser showing the web page. I've just noticed that rounded corners now exist for the area around the visible website pic.twitter.com/B0U3RCkb7eJanuary 13, 2023 Even the sidebar to scroll down the web page is rounded at the top and bottom, and this is very definitely a look that isn’t to everyone’s taste (we’ll come back to that in a moment). Learn Game Dev, Animation and more, with a Tutor. JuicesTutors.org Note that as XenoPanther observes, there are other Edge testers out there – some of whom chime in on the above Twitter thread – saying that they don’t see this change. So it would appear to be a tweak that’s only been rolled out to a small amount of testers (so-called A/B testing), and depending on how things go, it may then be pushed out to more folks (still in testing, mind – to gauge further reaction from a larger userbase). Analysis: Consistency first – but is this going too far? There are some people who really aren’t keen on the new rounded look for the central area where the web page is displayed in Edge. And the additional catch here is that the rounding isn’t just present when the browser is displayed in a window, but also when it’s made full-screen. The latter does look rather odd, we must agree, and off-putting when engaging in displaying full-screen video for example – also losing you a little bit of screen real-estate for showing the video clip. As one user put it to Microsoft on Twitter (expletive has been removed): “Stop giving everything round corners!” We get it, though – having adopted the round rather than sharp edge as an overall look for Windows 11, Microsoft is just keeping consistent. However, this feels like a step too far, maybe, particularly the full-screen aspect of the rounding; but this is still early testing, and doubtless the idea will be refined yet (or indeed ditched based on feedback, perhaps). 4. 13th Generation Raptor Lake CPU 13th Generation Raptor Lake CPU (Image credit: Intel) Intel's 13th Generation Raptor Lake processors are some of the best CPUs for gaming. There's no doubt about it. However, have you ever wondered which chips overclock the best? German publication Igor's Lab(opens in new tab) has tested up to 480 Raptor Lake processors and published the binning data on the silicon quality you can expect from each processor tier. Intel does its bit of binning before sending the Raptor Lake processors off to the retail market. During production, the chipmaker evaluates each chip and implants a unique V/F curve into each one of them. The V/F curve houses the data for each core regarding the minimum voltage corresponding to each frequency. The V/F curve, different for each SKU, tells the motherboard how much voltage is needed for a particular frequency. Some motherboard manufacturers, such as Asus, utilize these V/F curves to determine the quality of the processor and the chip's overclocking potential. Asus built a feature into the brand's ROG Maximus-and Strix-branded motherboards called Silicon Prediction (SP), which uses a mathematical formula to assess silicon quality based on the processor's V/F curve. It results in a simple number that tells you how good the processor is. Logically, the higher the number the better since it correlates to a better processor. Igor's Lab's methodology is simple. The news outlet sticks the Raptor Lake processor inside the Maximus Z790 Hero, boots up the system, goes inside the BIOS, and records the SP value for each sample. Header Cell - Column 0 Average SP Median SP Best SP Worst SP CPUs Tested Core i9-13900K 99.6 99 114 81 132 Core i9-13900KF 101.1 102 111 91 164 Core i7-13700K 82.9 83 96 75 42 Core i7-13700KF 83.5 84 90 75 43 Core i5-13600K 81.8 81 91 76 51 Core i5-13600KF 78.5 78 96 58 48 The data shows that the Core i9 models contain the best quality silicon out of all the Raptor Lake K-series chips. The Core i9-13900KF was the best overclocker, with an average SP of 101.1 out of 164 tested samples. Even the worst Core i9-13900KF had a score of 91 points. The Core i9-13900K, which comes with the iGPU, was just a hairline behind the KF counterpart. The processor had an average SP of 99.6 points, less than 2% behind the Core i9-13900KF. What’s interesting, though, is that the Core i9-13900K had the best SP score out of the lot, with 114 points. The Core i7-13700K and Core i7-13700KF were pretty close regarding silicon quality. The delta between the two average SPs was less than 1%. Similar to the case of the Core i9-13900K and Core i9-13900KF, the KF variant of the Core i7-13700K has a slight edge regarding overclocking. When it comes to the Core i5-13600K and Core i5-13600KF, it was the complete opposite. The regular K-series model had a higher average SP (81.8) when compared to the KF model (78.5). So we’re looking at a 4% difference. Surprisingly, the Core i5-13600KF also had the worst sample out of all the tested Raptor Lake parts, with a particular sample scoring just 58 points. For the average consumer, silicon quality isn’t a big selling point since you typically pick up a processor according to your needs. For example, if you need integrated graphics, you’d buy a $599 Core i9-13900K, or if you don’t want the iGPU, the Core i9-13900KF sells for $574, saving you $25 that you can put into another component for your build. However, for serious enthusiasts, the Core i9-13900KF has greater chances of hitting a higher overclock, such as 6 GHz, like Intel’s soon-to-be-released Core i9-13900KS, which will retail for $699. 6. 005 2023 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 First Look filterSEE ALL 23 PHOTOS Pricing is out for the 2023 Chevy Colorado, the bow-tie brand's midsize truck akin to the mechanically identical GMC Canyon. The Colorado, long due for an overall, finally got onet for 2023—including a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine, new design, new interior, and so on. And yet, for all this newness, the Colorado's price increase isn't as much as you'd think, considering how much more of a truck you'll get. Rudimentary math indicates that the base 2023 Colorado WT (Work Truck) is about $1,165 more than an equally configured base 2022. On the other end of the spectrum, an off-road-optimized 2023 Colorado ZR2 is $2,120 cheaper than an outgoing diesel-fed ZR2, and only $1,600 more than the old V-6-powered gasoline ZR2. The outgoing diesel ZR2 crested $50,000, and the new, gas-only one doesn't. Yes, to be fair, the baby Duramax option demanded quite a premium, as expected. (Have you seen how much diesel powertrains add to HD trucks?) But no matter how you spin it, the new Colorado is basically a totally fresh truck for the same-ish price. The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado comes in five trims configured exclusively as four-door crew cabs with short beds. Gone are the less po[CENSORED]r long bed and extended-cab configurations. The trims available are WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2, with the Trail Boss trim (formerly an add-on package) new this year. All trims are available in four-wheel drive, but if you want to cut costs and complexity, the WT and LT can be had in two-wheel drive. Also gone are the 2.5-liter four-cylinder (200 hp/191 lb-ft of torque), 3.6-liter V-6 (308 hp/275 lb-ft of torque), and diesel 2.8-liter Duramax four-cylinder (181 hp/369 lb-ft of torque) engine options, all replaced in 2023 by a turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four gasser offering three power outputs, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Those outputs and their delineations are: Turbo (237 hp/259 lb-ft of torque), Turbo Plus (310 hp/390 lb-ft of torque), and Turbo High-Output (310 hp/430 lb-ft of torque). 001 2023 chevrolet colorado z71 trail boss zr2 group filterSEE ALL 23 PHOTOS The base 2023 Chevy Colorado WT starts at $32,190. (Note that all prices include GM's $1,495 destination charge.) Opting for four-wheel drive tacks on $3,300, and upgrading to the mid-output 2.7-liter (for an additional 73 hp and 131 lb-ft) adds $1,420. It may look like a work truck (absolutely nothing wrong with that) with its 17-inch steelies, black plastic-clad exterior, black door handles, halogen headlights, and cloth-trimmed manual seats, don't be fooled. It's very well-equipped for a base truck, with an 11.3-inch LED display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8.0-inch color driver information center, Chevy Safety Assist, and Hitch View to help align a trailer, for example. As for options, there are tons for a base truck: Evotex seat trim, remote locking tailgate, heated power-adjustable mirrors, power driver seat, automatic locking rear differential, and even rear air vents and adaptive cruise control, for example. The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado LT starts at $34,590, and again, four-wheel drive can be added for $3,300. Opting for the mid-output 2.7-liter tacks on $1,285. The LT has less raw plastic and more body-color trim pieces, not to mention nicer 17-inch aluminum wheels and optional 18-inch "Android Dark" full gloss aluminum wheels. There's a skid plate package to make the LT more off-roady, and there's an available sunroof for the first time. The new-for-2023 Colorado Trail Boss trim starts at $39,990, which includes four-wheel drive and the mid-output Turbo Plus 2.7-liter. The Trail Boss gets beefed-up suspension, making it 2.0 inches higher and over 3.0 inches wider than the LT. The Colorado Trail Boss (and Z71) come standard with a G80 automatic locking rear differential. Move up to the 2023 Chevrolet Colorado Z71, and pricing starts at $42,890. Like the Trail Boss, it comes standard with four-wheel drive and the mid-output Turbo Plus 2.7-liter. The Z71 (and Trail Boss) come equipped with standard twin-tube off-road-tuned shocks and 18x8.5-inch aluminum wheels and 265/65R18 (31.6 x 10.4 inches) all-terrain tires. The Z71 has a sporty, Adrenaline Red-accented interior with trim-unique cloth/leatherette seats. Chevy's cream-of-the-crop midsize off-roader comes standard with four-wheel drive and the high-output 2.7-liter with 430 lb-ft of torque. It has the most aggressive suspension that touts a 3.0-inch lift and a track width that is 3.5 inches wider than the base models. The ZR2 also brings back the previous-generation version's amazing Multimatic DSSV dampers, which have been updated with larger-diameter shafts, new seals, and fresh tuning. Also included are 17x8-inch wheels wrapped in 285/70R17 (32.7 x 11.2 inches) mud-terrain tires; a fifth Terrain Mode, Baja, and allows for an additional drive mode beyond Baja that essentially eliminates all electronic intervention; and electronic locking front and rear differentials. There's a special ZR2 called the Desert Boss, which adds 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels, a special "off-road" front bumper with push bar, a bed-mounted sports bar with a sail panel and LED off-road light bar, an underbody camera, and unique "Desert Boss" graphics. Packages and options elevate these base prices exponentially, and let's face it, it's much harder to find base-trim trucks with fewer options than high-end trims with more options added. We configured a $65,000 ZR2 Desert Boss Special Edition on Chevy's website without trying too hard—but to be fair, we did tack on some things we could live without, like $50 yellow seat belts to "[add] a contrasting color to an important safety feature." On the other end of the spectrum, and perhaps more impressively, we configured a Radiant Red WT for a reasonable $43,720. A full-size spare wheel/tire set us back $235, but also requires a bunch of other options. Although we'd prefer manufacturers include something like this without strings attached, we'll begrudgingly pony up for a full-size spare over a compact tire. This transition causes several hormonal changes and can lead to varied symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, chills, and severe mood swings. These changes can be effectively managed through lifestyle modification, experts say. Calcium, vitamin D, vitamin K, magnesium, selenium, and adequate proteins are some of the essential nutrients that help with managing menopause symptoms. Here are seven food items, according to dietician Garima Goyal, which are rich in these essential nutrients to help you ease your way through menopause. Sesame seeds Sesame seeds are an excellent non-dairy source of calcium which, as we know, is essential for our bone health. As per the World Health Organization (WHO), osteoporosis is found to be prevalent among 30 per cent of menopausal women. “Adequate intake of calcium in your diet reduces your risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures. Sesame seeds can be added as toppings to any of your dishes or you can relish them as crackers,” she said. As you transition into menopause, weight gain could happen. Researchers have found that the protein in soy can help manage weight and prevent obesity. It is advisable to consume soy in moderation, 1 to 2 servings a day can be preferred,” the expert said. sesame seeds Sesame seeds are an excellent non-dairy source of calcium which, as we know, is essential for our bone health (Source: Getty Images/Thinkstock) Nuts Omega-3 fatty acids have a versatile role during menopause and nuts are the best way to obtain them through diet. “These fatty acids can help in alleviating hot flashes and mood disorders. Nuts are also a great source of magnesium, which aids in reducing stress, fatigue, and anxiety. So, every day, grab 10 to 12 pieces of nuts of your choice and munch on them. Soaking them overnight can raise the bioavailability of these nutrients,” she explained. Green leafy vegetables Green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, mustard leaves, and methi leaves are good sources of vitamin K, calcium, and antioxidants which prevent bone inflammation. You can include a variety of greens as a part of your meal, either in the form of sabzi or can also directly add to your roti. Fruits It goes without saying that fruits are rich in vitamins and minerals. During menopause, it becomes important to get these nutrients adequately to alleviate the symptoms. Berries like amla, blueberry, and strawberry are rich in fibre and antioxidants that fight off inflammation in your body. “You can include 2 to 3 servings of fruits in your diet as smoothies topped with some nuts and seeds or salads or in the raw form,” she said. 8. Dozens of people have been killed after a plane with 72 people on board crashed near an airport in central Nepal. The Yeti Airlines flight from Kathmandu to the tourist town of Pokhara crashed on landing before catching fire. Videos posted on social media show an aircraft flying low over a po[CENSORED]ted area before banking sharply. At least 68 people are confirmed to have died, officials said. Several critically injured survivors were taken to hospital, unconfirmed reports said. Local resident Divya Dhakal told the BBC how she rushed to the crash site after seeing the aircraft plunge from the sky shortly after 11:00am local time (05:15 GMT). "By the time I was there the crash site was already crowded. There was huge smoke coming from the flames of the plane. And then helicopters came over in no time," she said. "The pilot tried his best to not hit civilisation or any home," she added. "There was a small space right beside the Seti River and the flight hit the ground in that small space." The flight set out with 68 passengers on board, including at least 15 foreign nationals, and four crew members.According to flight tracking website Flightradar24, the 15-year-old twin-engine ATR 72 stopped transmitting position data at 05:05 GMT and the last signal from the aircraft was received at 05:12. Hundreds of Nepalese soldiers were involved in the operation at the crash site in the gorge of the Seti, just one and a half kilometres from the airport. The search operation has been suspended for the day, officials say. Video taken where the plane came down showed thick billowing black smoke and burning debris. "We expect to recover more bodies," an army spokesman told Reuters, saying the plane "has broken into pieces". Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal called an emergency meeting of his cabinet and urged state agencies to work on rescue operations. A panel to investigate the cause of the crash has been set up. Of the passengers, 53 are said to be Nepalese. There were five Indian, four Russians and two Koreans on the plane. There was also one passenger each from Ireland, Australia, Argentina and France among others Aviation accidents are not uncommon in Nepal, often due to its remote runways and sudden weather changes that can make for hazardous conditions. A Tara Air plane crashed in May 2022 in the northern Nepalese district of Mustang, killing 22 people. In early 2018, 51 people were killed when a US-Bangla flight travelling from Dhaka in Bangladesh caught fire as it landed in Kathmandu. The European Union has banned Nepalese airlines from its airspace over concerns about training and maintenance standards in the country's aviation industry.
