  8. A sports motorcycle, sports bike, or sport bike is a motorcycle designed and optimized for speed, acceleration, braking, and cornering on asphalt concrete race tracks and roads. They are mainly designed for performance at the expense of comfort, fuel economy, safety, noise reduction and storage in comparison with other motorcycles.[1] Sport bikes can be and are typically equipped with fairings and a windscreen to deflect wind from the rider to improve aerodynamics. Soichiro Honda wrote in the owner's manual of the 1959 Honda CB92 Benly Super Sport that, "Primarily, essentials of the motorcycle consists in the speed and the thrill," while Cycle World's Kevin Cameron says that, "A sportbike is a motorcycle whose enjoyment consists mainly from its ability to perform on all types of paved highway – its cornering ability, its handling, its thrilling acceleration and braking power, even (dare I say it?) its speed."[2] Motorcycles are versatile and may be put to many uses as the rider sees fit.[3] In the past there were few if any specialized types of motorcycles, but the number of types and sub-types has proliferated, particularly in the period since the 1950s.[4] The introduction of the Honda CB750 in 1969 marked a dramatic increase in the power and speed of practical and affordable sport bikes available to the general public.[5] This was followed in the 1970s by improvements in suspension and braking commensurate with the power of the large inline fours that had begun to dominate the sport bike world. In the 1980s sport bikes again took a leap ahead, becoming almost indistinguishable from racing motorcycles.[6] Since the 1990s sport bikes have become more diverse, adding new variations like the naked bike and streetfighter to the more familiar road racing style of sport bike.[4][7][8]. With the emphasis of a sport bike being on speed, acceleration, braking, and maneuverability, there are certain design elements that most motorcycles of this type will share. Rider ergonomics favor function. This generally means higher foot pegs that move the legs closer to the body and more of a reach to a lower set of hand controls, such as clip on handlebars, which positions the body and weight forward and over the tank.[3][9] Sport bikes have comparatively high-performance engines resting inside a lightweight frame.[9] High tech and expensive materials are often used on sport bikes to reduce weight.[9] Braking systems combine higher performance brake pads and disc brakes with multi-piston calipers that clamp onto oversized vented rotors. Suspension systems are advanced in terms of adjustments and materials for increased stability and durability. Front and rear tires are larger and wider than tires found on other types of motorcycles to allow higher cornering speeds and greater lean angles. Fairings may or may not be used on a sport bike; when used, fairings are shaped to reduce aerodynamic drag as much as possible and provide wind protection for the rider.[9] The combination of rider position, location of the engine and other heavy components, and the motorcycle's geometry help maintain structural integrity and chassis rigidity, and determine how it will behave under acceleration, braking, and cornering. Correct front-to-rear weight distribution is of particular importance to the handling of sport bikes, and the changing position of the rider's body dynamically changes the handling of the motorcycle.[10] Because of the complexity of modeling all the possible movements of different sized riders, to approach perfect tuning of a motorcycle's weight distribution and suspension is often only possible by having a bike customized or at least adjusted to fit a specific rider.[10] Generally, road racing style sport bikes have shorter wheelbases than those intended for more comfortable touring, and the current trend in sport bike design is towards shorter wheelbases, giving quicker turning at the expense of a greater tendency for unintentional wheelies and stoppies under hard acceleration and braking, respectively.[10][11][self-published source?][12] Some motorcycles have anti-wheelie systems, with various designs including computerized traction and suspension settings controls or mechanical suspension features, which are intended to reduce the lift and loss of traction of the front wheel under acceleration.[13]. There is no universal authority defining the terminology of sport bikes or any other motorcycle classes. Legal definitions are limited by local jurisdiction, and race sanctioning bodies like the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) set rules that only apply to those who choose to participate in their competitions. Nonetheless, by present day standards in Europe, North America and the rest of the developed world, sport bikes are usually divided into three, four, or five rough categories, reflecting vaguely similar engine displacement, horsepower, price and intended use, with a good measure of subjective opinion and simplification. Marketing messages about a model from the manufacturer can diverge from the consensus of the motorcycling media and the public. Sometimes the classes used in motorcycle racing are approximated in production models, often but not always in connection with homologation. The sport bike classes in common usage are:[7][14][15] Lightweight: also called entry level, small, beginner or Sportbikes.[8][16][17] Some two strokes in this class have dramatically higher performance than the four strokes, being likened to miniature superbikes.[7] Sport bikes with engine displacements of up to about 400–600 cc (24–37 cu in) are usually in this class.[3] Middleweight:[14] mid-sized, mid-level,[8] or Supersport.[7] Some of the models in this range qualify for racing in the classes AMA Supersport Championship, Australian Supersport Championship, British Supersport Championship and the Supersport World Championship, but many middleweights do not have a significant presence in racing. Displacements of 600–800 cc (37–49 cu in) are typical.[3] Heavyweight:[14] liter-class, literbike, or Superbike i.e. 1,000–1,200 cc (61–73 cu in) or higher.[3] As with supersport, many of the models in this class compete in superbike racing. Open class, hypersport or hyperbike,[16][18][19] are terms sometimes used in lieu of superbike as a catch-all for everything larger than middleweight.[20] Alternatively, these terms mark a class above the superbikes for the largest displacement sport bikes with the highest top speeds, with weights somewhat greater than the superbike class.[21] Hyperbike was in use by 1979.[22]. marketed towards 'learner' riders who had not passed a driving test enabling their progression to large-capacity machines.[31][32][33] In 1982 Yamaha described their 1983 RD350 YPVS launched at the Cologne motorcycle show as "the nearest thing to a road going racer ever produced".[34] The term race replica was then also used to distinguish the period of sport bike production from Japan and Europe since the mid-1980s having integrated race-styled bodywork, representing an evolution from the superbike period that began in 1969.[35] The sport bike, or race replica, era began with the 1983 Suzuki RG250 Gamma, the 1984 Honda VF750F and the 1985 Suzuki GSX-R750, and had full fairings.[36][37] Sport bikes with small or no fairings have proliferated since the mid-1990s. These are called naked bikes or streetfighters,[7][38] and they retain many of the performance features of other sport bikes, but besides abbreviated bodywork, they give the rider a more upright posture by using, for example, higher handlebars instead of clip ons. The streetfighter name, associated with motorcycle stunt riding and perhaps hooliganism on public roads, can imply higher performance than the sometimes more tame naked bike, which in some cases is a synonym for a standard motorcycle.[8] Others define naked bikes as equal in power and performance to sport bikes, merely absent the bodywork.[39] The same period that saw the naked and streetfighter variants of the sport bike theme also had a resurgence of the versatile standard in response to demand for a return of the Universal Japanese Motorcycle.[4][9] Supermoto-style street bikes, constructed with a completely different set of priorities than a road racing style sport bike, have also entered the mainstream, offering another option for riders seeking a spirited riding experience. The nickname muscle bike has been applied to sport bikes that give engine output a disproportionate priority over braking, handling or aerodynamics, harking back to the Japanese superbikes of the 1970s.[9][40][41] A similar sensibility drives the so-called power cruiser motorcycles, based on cruiser class machines but with horsepower numbers in league with superbikes.[42]. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_motorcycle
  9. Roblox (/ˈroʊblɒks/ ⓘ, ROH-bloks) is an online game platform and game creation system developed by Roblox Corporation that allows users to program and play games created by themselves or other users. It was created by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel in 2004, and released to the public in 2006. As of February 2025, the platform has reported an average of 85.3 million daily active users. According to the company, their monthly player base includes half of all American children under the age of 16. The platform hosts millions of user-created games (officially referred to as "experiences"), all created using a dialect of the programming language Lua and the platform's game engine, Roblox Studio. While Roblox is free-to-play, it features in-game purchases done through its virtual currency known as Robux, and game developers on the platform are able to create items that cost Robux. Furthermore, the platform hosts a large virtual economy centered around those items and Robux. Using the platform's "Developer Exchange" program, creators on the platform are able to exchange their earned Robux for real-world currency. The platform has also been used to host virtual concerts and events, as well as advergames. Early in Roblox's history, it was relatively small, both as a platform and as a company. In the second half of the 2010s, the platform began to grow rapidly, and this growth was accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. By 2020, over 5,000 games on Roblox had been played over a million times, and over 20 had been played over one billion times. Although Roblox has been positively received by critics, it has faced heavy criticism for its content moderation, which in turn has led to a large amount of sexual or politically extremist material on the platform. It has also been criticized for its alleged exploitative practices toward children and microtransactions. The platform has been restricted or completely blocked in several countries, including China, Turkey, and Jordan. Roblox features a large virtual economy centered around Robux, its virtual currency.[10][11] The currency allows users to buy, sell and create virtual items.[7] Roblox also has a service called "Roblox Premium", a monthly subscription that gives users monthly stipends of Robux (with the amount depending on the selected subscription tier), discounts when purchasing items, more Robux being granted per purchase, and access to the item trading system.[1][12] Similarly to games, many items on Roblox are user-generated.[8][10] While only Roblox developers were able to create avatar items early on,[8] the capabilities of user-generated content has expanded greatly over time.[13] Since 2019, select users have gained the ability to publish avatar accessories, animations,[8] bundles and more.[10][14][13] Some items on Roblox have a "limited" status, with only a few being available and the price of the item based on supply and demand rather than a fixed price. These items function similarly to non-fungible tokens. The prices of limited items range, with the most valuable ones costing millions of Robux.[15] After the original supply of that item runs out, players can resell them for a higher price. Additionally, users with an active Roblox Premium subscription are able to trade limiteds amongst each other.[16] Limited items made by the community cannot be traded and this feature is restricted to official items.[17] Developers on the platform are able to create purchasable content through one-time purchases.[18] Through the Roblox "Developer Exchange" program, users are able to exchange their earned Robux for real-world money,[19] as long as they have at least 30,000 Robux.[9] In 2020, Roblox reported that roughly 345,000 game developers on the platform earned money through the program.[7][20] Avatar item creators have also been able to generate profit with the platform, with some individuals designing items as a full-time job. It has been reported that the highest-earning creators have earned over $100,000 a year from item sales.[21] A sizeable amount of scams are on Roblox, largely revolving around messages promoting websites and games that are designed to appear to give out free Robux.[22] Furthermore, there are people in the community known as "beamers" who compromise Roblox accounts to steal and sell their items on the platform's black markets. They employ various techniques, such as creating phishing websites or create ploys in order to acquire a victim's session token.[23] Once they gain access to the victim's account, these "beamers" steal and subsequently sell valuable limited items owned by the victims for real-world currency or cryptocurrency through marketplace sites or Discord chat rooms. The slang term "beaming" is commonly used to describe this entire process on Roblox. Roblox does offer hacking victims a "rollback" for their items, although this is only offered once per account.[24]. Roblox Studio is the platform's game engine[25] and game development software.[26][27] The engine and all games made on Roblox predominantly uses Luau,[28] a dialect of the Lua 5.1 programming language.[29] Since November 2021, the programming language has been open sourced under the MIT License.[28][30] Some aspects of the engine were created using C++.[31] To assist in the creation of games, Roblox Studio features multiple pre-made templates that users can modify.[26] As of 2020, Roblox reported that more than 2 million developers used Roblox Studio to create more than 20 million games per year. They also reported that a majority of developers were minors.[7][20] While some developers might not make money by creating games on Roblox, it has been noted that the platform still assists with teaching people game design and how to code.[32][33] See also: List of Roblox games Due to its status as a user-created games platform, Roblox has a variety of po[CENSORED]r games; as of July 2020, at least 20 games had been played more than one billion times, and at least 5,000 have been played more than one million times.[34] The highest concurrent player count on a single Roblox game was with Grow a Garden, which achieved over 16 million concurrent players in June 2025.[35] TechCrunch noted in March 2021 that Roblox games are largely distinct from established traditions in free-to-play video games, finding that successful Roblox games were geared towards immediate satisfaction, and finding that the addition of tutorials significantly decreased player engagement, contrary to established wisdom about free-to-play games.[36] Many companies have used Roblox to host advergames promoting their products.[37][38][39]. Roblox was created in 2004 by co-founders and software engineers David Baszucki and Erik Cassel. Prior to the creation of the platform, both Baszucki and Cassel worked for Knowledge Revolution, a company that specialized in creating educational and physics simulation software. After Knowledge Revolution was acquired by MSC Software, the two left the company and Baszucki began investing in earlier social media sites like Friendster. Around this time, Baszucki came up with the idea of a physics sandbox with creation tools and a social networking aspect. Baszucki and Cassel began development on Roblox shortly afterwards, modeled after Baszucki's vision, and also created the Roblox Corporation. Early in its development, Roblox was known as Dynablocks. It was determined early on in development that the two would design Roblox to rely entirely on user-generated content, only providing the tools necessary for people to develop games, as well as the server hosting later in development.[2] Baszucki and Cassel worked alone while making the earlier versions of Roblox, and created their own games on the platform before the creation tools were completed. These early versions of Roblox were extremely basic, with player avatars having not been animated yet and various features only being present in their most simplified form. They also advertised Roblox on some websites, leading to a few dozen players joining the platform as playtesters. In mid-2006, the first two employees that weren't Cassel or Baszucki were hired to work on the platform's other features. These employees were Matt Dusek and John Shedletsky, with Dusek being responsible for working on the platform's communication aspects.[2] Roblox was officially released on September 1, 2006,[40] with Roblox Studio being made available that same year. Games that were made by the community early in the platform's history included paintball games, haunted houses and model trains that players could ride. In 2008, the Roblox Corporation stopped actively creating their own games to demonstrate the platform's capabilities, becoming entirely reliant on user-created games.[2] During this time in 2007, Roblox introduced the "Builders Club" membership subscription, which allowed for users to create more games under their account, sell virtual clothing, remove outside advertisements from the site and gain Robux daily.[41] Early in the platform's history, it had two separate currencies: Robux and Tickets, with the latter often being referred to as "Tix".[42]. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roblox
  10. Intel Corporation is an American multinational corporation and technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and incorporated in Delaware.[3] Intel designs, manufactures, and sells computer components such as central processing units (CPUs) and related products for business and consumer markets. It was the world's third-largest semiconductor chip manufacturer by revenue in 2024[4] and has been included in the Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by revenue since 2007. It was one of the first companies listed on Nasdaq. Intel supplies microprocessors for most manufacturers of computer systems, and is one of the developers of the x86 series of instruction sets found in most personal computers (PCs). It also manufactures chipsets, network interface controllers, flash memory, graphics processing units (GPUs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), and other devices related to communications and computing. Intel has a strong presence in the high-performance general-purpose and gaming PC market with its Intel Core line of CPUs, whose high-end models are among the fastest consumer CPUs, as well as its Intel Arc series of GPUs. Intel was founded on July 18, 1968, by semiconductor pioneers Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce, along with investor Arthur Rock, and is associated with the executive leadership and vision of Andrew Grove.[5] The company was a key component of the rise of Silicon Valley as a high-tech center,[6] as well as being an early developer of static (SRAM) and dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chips, which represented the majority of its business until 1981. Although Intel created the world's first commercial microprocessor chip—the Intel 4004—in 1971, it was not until the success of the PC in the early 1990s that this became its primary business. During the 1990s, the partnership between Microsoft Windows and Intel, known as "Wintel", became instrumental in shaping the PC landscape,[7][8] and solidified Intel's position on the market. As a result, Intel invested heavily in new microprocessor designs in the mid to late 1990s, fostering the rapid growth of the computer industry. During this period, it became the dominant supplier of PC microprocessors, with a market share of 90%,[9] and was known for aggressive and anti-competitive tactics in defense of its market position, particularly against AMD, as well as a struggle with Microsoft for control over the direction of the PC industry.[10][11] Since the 2000s and especially since the late 2010s, Intel has faced increasing competition from AMD, which has led to a decline in its dominance and market share in the PC market.[12] Nevertheless, with a 68.4% market share as of 2023, Intel still leads the x86 market by a wide margin.[13]. Intel was incorporated in Mountain View, California, on July 18, 1968, by Gordon E. Moore, a chemist; Robert Noyce, a physicist and co-inventor of the integrated circuit; and Arthur Rock, an investor and venture capitalist.[14][15][16] Moore and Noyce had left Fairchild Semiconductor, where they were part of the "traitorous eight" who founded it. There were originally 500,000 shares outstanding of which Noyce bought 245,000 shares, Moore 245,000 shares, and Rock 10,000 shares; all at $1 per share. Rock offered $2,500,000 of convertible debentures to a limited group of private investors (equivalent to $21 million in 2022), convertible at $5 per share.[17][18] Two years later, Intel became a public company via an initial public offering (IPO), raising $6.8 million ($23.50 per share). Intel was one of the first companies—and the oldest—to be listed on the then-newly established National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation System (NASDAQ).[19] Intel's third employee was Andy Grove, a chemical engineer, who ran the company through much of the 1980s and the high-growth 1990s. In deciding on a name, Moore and Noyce quickly rejected "Moore Noyce",[20] a near-homophone for "more noise" – an ill-suited name for an electronics company, since noise in electronics is usually undesirable and typically associated with bad interference. Instead, they founded the company as NM Electronics on July 18, 1968, but by the end of the month had changed the name to Intel, which stood for Integrated Electronics. Since "Intel" was already trademarked by the hotel chain Intelco, they had to buy the rights for the name.[19][21] At its founding, Intel was distinguished by its ability to make logic circuits using semiconductor devices. The founders' goal was the semiconductor memory market, widely predicted to replace magnetic-core memory. Its first product, a quick entry into the small, high-speed memory market in 1969, was the 3101 Schottky TTL bipolar 64-bit static random-access memory (SRAM), which was nearly twice as fast as earlier Schottky diode implementations by Fairchild and the Electrotechnical Laboratory in Tsukuba, Japan.[22][23] In the same year, Intel also produced the 3301 Schottky bipolar 1024-bit read-only memory (ROM)[24] and the first commercial metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) silicon gate SRAM chip, the 256-bit 1101.[19][25][26] While the 1101 was a significant advance, its complex static cell structure made it too slow and costly for mainframe memories. The three-transistor cell implemented in the first commercially available dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), the 1103 released in 1970, solved these issues. The 1103 was the bestselling semiconductor memory chip in the world by 1972, as it replaced core memory in many applications.[27][28] Intel's business grew during the 1970s as it expanded and improved its manufacturing processes and produced a wider range of products, still dominated by various memory devices. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel

Finally, it remains to talk about the removable microphone that we can remove and put on quite comfortably and that fulfills its role so that we can communicate by voice chat without having too many pretensions. conclusions The Trust GXT 498 Forta are very interesting headphones for those of you who don't want to spend more than €50 (they start at €49.99) on headphones to play with your PS5 or PS4. They are quite comfortable, they adapt to large heads, and their sound level response is more than adequate within their range, beyond sounding a bit muffled at the highest frequencies. We are happy with the response of the headphones and with their value for money that usually distinguishes Trust within its peripherals for gamers. *We have carried out this analysis thanks to headphones donated by Trust. https://vandal.elespanol.com/reportaje/ware-analisis-de-los-auriculares-trust-gxt-498-forta-para-ps5-una-buena-relacion-calidadprecio
  16. It seems that Sony has taken a liking to porting its PlayStation exclusives to PC. The last one, if you remember, was the wonderful Ratchet & Clank a Dimension Apart which arrived just a year after its premiere on PS5. Now, finally, we will see another of the Japanese's latest hits land, on top of that, with all its content available to date in a complete edition. Indeed, Sony began with some caution by porting its exclusive PlayStation games to PC, but the truth is that the move is turning out well: it feeds a market that apparently is not direct competition, such as that of computers, and on top of that it leaves a an inch of the nose at its competition, Microsoft, giving it long teeth when it sees how these successes pass in front of its nose without it being able to touch them. Second part that will also come to PC The fact is that just 48 hours ago we informed you that a complete edition of Horizon Forbidden West had appeared on the Singapore regulatory body's website, assuming that it would be a new version intended for PS5 and PS4 users, which They were the ones who, in February 2022 and later in early 2023, received the original game plus its expansion, Burning Shores. The fact is that the information we offered you was true, but with a nuance, which has become known in the last few hours and that is that this complete edition with the game plus the DLC would not be designed only to land within the PlayStation ecosystem, but rather also on the PC. That is, Steam and other video game stores present on Windows. Something that we cannot say has not brightened the morning of those of us who have computers as our main source of entertainment. At the moment, there is still no information on a specific date of going on sale, but everything seems to indicate that this moment will occur throughout the remainder of the year 2023. A good time could be November, which seems calmer than next October, in which a huge number of new releases will be concentrated (Assassin's Creed Mirage, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Forza Motorsport, Spider-Man 2, etc.). They take less and less time As we told you, Sony has gotten the hang of porting its exclusives on PC (without an emulator, of course) and, although the first ones arrived with more distance between their console releases, that time period is getting shorter and shorter. In the case, for example, of Horizon Zero Dawn, which appeared on PS4 in February 2017, we fishers had to wait more than three years, until August 2020, to be able to emulate Aloy's exploits. If this Horizon Forbidden West is confirmed on PC by the end of 2023, a little more than a year and a half will have passed with respect to the main title, and less than 12 months with regard to the DLC, which was officially put on sale in April 2023. So it's all good news for PC gamers, who have their own exclusive developments and, on top of that, those that both Sony and Microsoft are leading on PlayStation and Xbox. Can you ask for more? https://hardzone.es/noticias/juegos/exclusivo-playstation-llegara-pronto-ordenadores/
  17. Until now we knew that NVIDIA was betting a lot on Artificial Intelligence, and that its sales were going better than expected, you just have to look at its growth in the stock market to see that the rest of the world also trusts them. But today we receive a very curious piece of information that surprises us even more. Apparently they have sold 900 tons of H100 graphics cards, aimed at AI. How much is 900 tons of GPU? Said this way it may seem like an exaggeration, but no, it is not. And 900 tons are equivalent to about 300,000 graphics cards, a number confirmed by the brand itself, which registered 10.3 billion dollars in just one quarter. These data would not be something specific either, since it is expected that they will be repeated, or even improve in the next one. The calculation has been made based on a weight approximation by which the NVIDIA H100 PCIe would weigh 1.2 KG and the Nvidia H100 SXM module would reach 2 KG. And although these are estimates based on similar brand sizes, we don't care if they are 900 tons or not. It wouldn't be far though. The data that really matters is the quantity sold, and that is crazy. This gives us an even more surprising result and that is that the forecasts do not stop, even with room for improvement, so we could say that NVIDIA would be selling around 3,600 tons annually, or what is the same 1.2 million cards H100 GPU graphics. Only on that model. Furthermore, this falls short, since the stock problem is real, and that is why the probability of having sold more by having had better production is more than an assumption. We'll see how they face next year, but it doesn't look bad. To make fun comparisons, we can see the equivalence of those 900 quarterly tons, which would be the same as: 4.5 Boeing 747 11 Space Shuttle Orbiters 215,827 gallons of water 299 Ford F150-Lightnings 181,818 PlayStation 5 32,727 Golden Retrievers Curious, right? And this only in 3 months and with a single model of all the types of products and versions that the company would have. So the total number of overall annual sales would skyrocket much higher. Now we understand that growth in the stock market and support from investors and brands. NVIDIA has a future for a while, and wants to position itself even more advantageously in first place. 19. Six crew members have been rescued and at least three others killed after a cargo ship was attacked by Yemen's Houthis and sank in the Red Sea, a European naval mission says. The Liberian-flagged, Greek-operated Eternity C was carrying 25 crew when it sustained significant damage and lost all propulsion after being hit by rocket-propelled grenades fired from small boats on Monday, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency. The attack continued on Tuesday and search rescue operations commenced overnight. The Iran-backed Houthis said they attacked the Eternity C because it was heading to Israel, and that they took an unspecified number of crew to a "safe location".The US embassy in Yemen said the Houthis had "kidnapped many surviving crew members" and called for their immediate release. Authorities in the Philippines said 21 of the crew were citizens. Another of them is a Russian national who was severely wounded in the attack and lost a leg. It is the second vessel the Houthis have sunk in a week, after the group on Sunday launched missiles and drones at another Liberian-flagged, Greek-operated cargo ship, Magic Seas, which they claimed "belong[ed] to a company that violated the entry ban to the ports of occupied Palestine". Video footage released by the Houthis on Tuesday showed armed men boarding the vessel and setting off a series of explosions which caused it to sink. All 22 crew of Magic Seas were safely rescued by a passing merchant vessel. Since November 2023, the Houthis have targeted around 70 merchant vessels with missiles, drones and small boat attacks in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. They have now sunk four ships, seized a fifth, and killed at least seven crew members. The group has said it is acting in support of the Palestinians in the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, and have claimed - often falsely - that they are targeting ships only linked to Israel, the US or the UK, which have carried out air strikes on Yemen in response. On Wednesday the EU's naval mission in the Red Sea, Operation Aspides, said it was participating in the international response to the attack on the Eternity C and that "currently six castaway crew members have been recovered from the sea". An Aspides official told AFP news agency that five were Filipinos and one was Indian, and that 19 others were still missing. The Greece-based maritime security firm Diaplous released a video on Wednesday that showed the rescue of at least five seafarers who it said had spent more then 24 hours in the water, according to Reuters news agency. "We will continue to search for the remaining crew until the last light," Diaplous said. Reuters also cited maritime security firms as saying that the death toll was four. The US state department condemned the attacks on the Magic Seas and Eternity C, which it said "demonstrate the ongoing threat that Iran-backed Houthi rebels pose to freedom of navigation and to regional economic and maritime security". "The United States has been clear: we will continue to take necessary action to protect freedom of navigation and commercial shipping from Houthi terrorist attacks, which must be condemned by all members of the international community." In May, the Houthis agreed a ceasefire deal with the US following seven weeks of intensified US strikes on Yemen in response to the attacks on international shipping. However, they said the agreement did not include an end to attacks on Israel, which has conducted multiple rounds of retaliatory strikes on Yemen. The secretary-general of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) called for intensified diplomatic efforts following the new wave of attacks. "After several months of calm, the resumption of deplorable attacks in the Red Sea constitutes a renewed violation of international law and freedom of navigation," Arsenio Dominguez said. "Innocent seafarers and local po[CENSORED]tions are the main victims of these attacks and the pollution they cause," he warned. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c3071vp2d8yo
