[Sports] Sofyan Amrabat Refuses to Leave Fenerbahçe Amid Exit Talks

Sofyan Amrabat’s future at Fenerbahçe is in limbo. The Moroccan international, who joined from Fiorentina last season for €12–14 million with a mandatory purchase clause, has been informed he is not part of José Mourinho’s plans for the upcoming season.

Despite this, Amrabat has rejected two offers – both from Serie A clubs – citing a significant pay cut. The 28-year-old currently earns €5 million per year in Istanbul, while the Italian offers reportedly did not exceed €2 million.

With a contract running until 2028, Amrabat has told the club he intends to stay unless a more suitable offer arrives. His stance has placed Fenerbahçe in a financial bind, as the club looks to offload fringe players and cut its wage bill.

Last season, Amrabat featured in 39 matches, scoring twice and assisting four times. His refusal to leave without proper compensation is complicating the club’s summer plans.
