Revox Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago VMWare was acquired by Broadcom late last year, and as a result, many changes were implemented in the product and service portfolio. Virtualization software and technical support became considerably more expensive for enterprise customers, and licensing agreements became much more disadvantageous. But this takeover also comes with some positive news: VMWare Fusion Pro and Workstation Pro, perhaps the most advanced and powerful virtualization solutions on the market, are now 100% free for personal/home use. In addition, they do not come with any limitations, being able to run multiple virtual machines simultaneously, they continue to receive stability, performance and security patches and are compatible with almost all operating systems. The only downside: they no longer benefit from any kind of technical support from VMWare, not even for a fee, and the only sources for troubleshooting problems remain the VMWare documentation and forums. But although they have become free, downloading them is not free, but requires registration on the VMWare website and obtaining activation licenses. Source Quote
