[News] Maduro asked for support from the people for constitutional reform

President Nicolás Maduro assured in his program “Con Maduro +” that on February 15 he will present to the National Assembly the fundamental proposals for the Constitutional Reform, for which he asked for the support of the people in order to end the bourgeois State.

“One of the vital lines is the democratization of society, the democratization of the State so that the State is all of us and stops being something strange, like the old colonial State, the old oligarchic State or the old bourgeois State. That the State is the citizen,” said the president.

“For the constitutional reform I need the support of the people to overturn the bureaucratic apparatus, the heavy apparatus, the ossified and corrupt apparatus of the State that we still have, and transform it into a modern, human, grassroots, democratic State. That is the goal,” asked the president.

In this regard, he recalled that this model under construction “is not a carbon copy, it is not a copy, it is not imposed by anyone, it is a creation 'Made in Venezuela'”.

For his part, the Minister of Communes, Ángel Prado, recalled that in the first po[CENSORED]r consultation in April 2024, 35 thousand communal councils participated, in the one in August, nearly 40 thousand communal councils participated and in the one in 2025, nearly 48 thousand communal councils participated, almost 100% of the total.

Regarding these data, the president said that the system is being perfected with each electoral event that seeks to solve projects for the communities. “I really liked the idea of the communal circuit, because there are two large instances, the communes and the communal circuits, and we began to add step by step,” he said.

“The goal is that within two years all communities should be organized into 6,000 well-structured and well-organized communes, and when consultations of different kinds are held, they will be held in 6,000 communes and the communal circuits will have moved to a higher level,” he said.
