The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced the arrival of the two Conviasa airline planes with the group of 190 Venezuelans who returned to the country thanks to the Vuelta a la Patria plan.

“Returning to Venezuela and resuming the Vuelta a la Patria Plan for the reunification of the Venezuelan family,” said the head of state this Monday during the 70th broadcast of the fourth season of Con Maduro +.

This plan, said Maduro, will return every migrant who needs support to return.

“Mothers and grandmothers, who have cried and suffered the most, know that we are the complete guarantee of the loving reunification of the Venezuelan family,” he stressed.

He also denounced that the extreme right of the country made a “business” with Venezuelan migration by asking for money from the extinct United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for each person who went abroad.

“They enriched themselves as coyotes at the expense of supposed humanitarian aid. What I am saying I have been denouncing since 2017,” he argued.

For his part, the Vice President of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, received the compatriots repatriated from El Paso, Texas, at the Maiquetía International Airport and guaranteed comprehensive care for all returnees.

“Their health condition will be reviewed and it will be verified if they have a criminal record,” he explained.

He stressed that the Return to the Homeland plan is being resumed, which the United States had to suspend some time ago due to actions of the previous administration.

“Now in an open and direct dialogue between the Bolivarian Government and the Government of the United States, it is being resumed,” he pointed out.

Earlier on Monday, the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez, reported on his social networks that two Conviasa planes “are heading to Venezuela,” bringing compatriots who were in the US.

A statement indicated that the operation is carried out within the framework of the Return to the Homeland plan, which was designed with the purpose of repatriating those who “migrated because of the economic sanctions and psychological warfare campaigns against our country.”

In this regard, President Maduro stated that “Venezuela is the only country in the world that has a plan to bring back with dignity, respect and love the migrants who left the country due to the sanctions.”
