Venezuela agradece a Cuba por su solidaridad ante el “acto de piratería” contra avión de PDVSA

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, thanked his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodríguez, for his solidarity in the face of the “act of piracy” perpetrated by Washington by illegally confiscating a PDVSA plane, on the orders of the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.

“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we express our sincere gratitude to the brother Foreign Minister of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez, for his firm rejection of the recent act of piracy perpetrated by Washington by illegally confiscating a PDVSA plane, with the complicity of the Government of the Dominican Republic,” Gil indicated in his Telegram account.

The publication is accompanied by a post by X that Rodríguez published, in which he stated that Rubio “intends to become the ‘Sheriff’ of Latin America and the Caribbean with the illegal confiscation of a Venezuelan plane”

“He commits a reprehensible and arbitrary act of modern piracy, which violates International Law and the UN Charter,” he emphasized.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Gil issued a statement in which he stressed that the aircraft was illegally confiscated with the complicity of the "cipayo government of the Dominican Republic."

The statement stated that Venezuela will take all necessary actions to denounce this theft and demand the immediate return of its aircraft.
