The CEO of the firm, Tim Cook, has given details about the month in which the long-awaited update would arrive in Europe.

Since Apple launched its suite of artificial intelligence functions called Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024, users have been highly critical of the fact that it was initially only available in English and in the US. It was already known that this AI, which will receive a huge new feature in the next iOS and macOS updates, was going to receive support in Spanish by 2025, but now new information has again confirmed the month in which this update will arrive: April of this year.

Apple has been promising for months that Apple Intelligence language support would be expanded to other languages and other versions of English (such as Indian or Singaporean). Not only that; they assured that soon, the rest of the languages would arrive: French, Italian, German, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese and finally, Spanish. The date chosen to extend Apple Intelligence to the Spanish language was April 2025, and a new earnings conference by Tim Cook reaffirms this idea.

This is revealed by MacRumors, which collects how the CEO of Apple assured that very soon Apple Intelligence would support these new eight additional languages. Presumably, the update that will integrate all these new languages will be iOS 18.4, which will arrive in the coming weeks and months. Something that the firm already anticipated when it announced the iOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.2 updates.
This first official confirmation was revealed in Apple's press release on December 11, 2024. "In April, Apple Intelligence features will begin to be added to iPhones and iPads for users in the European Union," they explained. If we add to this the support for Spanish and other languages already mentioned above, it is clear that EU users who regularly use these languages will be able to use Apple Intelligence.
