[NEWS] Fire crews tackling blaze at waste recycling site

Road closures have been put in place after a large fire at a waste recycling site. Fire crews have warned people in the immediate area to keep their windows and doors closed while they tackle a fire on Wallace Way in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. A high-volume pump has been set up, resulting in the closure of a junction between Cadwell Lane, Wilbury Way and Woolgrove Road. A spokesperson from Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said over 60 emergency calls had been made to report the fire.
