Supercar failures continue. After the Germans and the French, it is the turn of the English.Rarely so many supercars will have been the subject of correction operations in such a short time. Thus, on a series of Artura, in this case the vehicles assembled from July 18, 2022 until November 23, 2023, the British manufacturer noted the possible presence of a defective duct in the low-pressure fuel delivery system. To remedy this, the recall referenced SRC 16 K 003 was launched.
A very open engine
Recall that the Artura is a GT that has accumulated firsts for McLaren. This is, in fact, the manufacturer's first plug-in hybrid, but also its first production model equipped with a V6. The latter is distinguished by its very pronounced opening since the angle formed by the rows of cylinders is 120 °. In its first version, the Artura develops 680 hp but, since the beginning of this year, its cavalry has been reinforced and is now set at 700 hp.

On the examples identified previously, it turns out that the famous fuel line can, during the starting phase of the internal combustion engine, become unstuck. Close to the hottest parts of the mechanics, the leak that would then occur could lead to a fire. For a few weeks now, McLaren has therefore started contacting the owners of the Artura approved under the CE type e9*KS18/858*11168* so that their car is checked without delay.
