“Charging means that every vote is respected. There is nothing above the voice of the sovereign and the sovereign spoke on July 28. The voice and decision of the people is respected,” the opposition leader stressed.

 

From the city of Caracas on Francisco de Miranda Avenue near La California in the municipality of Sucre, opposition leader María Corina Machado emphasized during her rally this Saturday, August 17, that “now comes the fifth stage and this is the time to collect.”

“Collecting means that each vote is respected. There is nothing above the voice of the sovereign and the sovereign spoke on July 28. The voice and decision of the people is respected,” she stressed.

Within the framework of “the fight for truth and against electoral fraud,” Machado stated before thousands of attendees that history was made in various cities around the world.

 

 

“Today we have made history here and in 300 cities around the world. We have the votes, we have the records (…) We are not going to leave the streets.”

In light of the wave of repression that the country has been experiencing since July 28, when electoral authorities declared Maduro the winner, MCM stressed that violence only suits them. “It is chilling what the regime has done in terms of repression. The world is watching it.”

“They told us that it was impossible to defeat the fraud and prove our victory, but we did it (…) We were able to defeat the fraud and prove our victory. This is the time to collect.”
