With the update of the Volkswagen ID.3 also comes a more performance variant of the electric one. This is the Volkswagen ID.3 GTX 2024, which is something like the Golf GTI of current times. It is a compact electric sports car that wants to surprise with its features and is available from €46,880.

Initially, the ID.3 GTX comes with the 210 kW 286 HP engine that drives the rear engine, although there is talk of a future Performance variant with 326 HP, like the Cupra Born VZ. Its top speed is limited to 180 km/h and it can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 6.0 seconds. It announces an average consumption of 14.5 kWh/100.

The Volkswagen ID.3 GTX initially has a 77 kWh capacity battery with which it can claim a range of 600 km on a single charge. Accepts fast direct current charging at 175 kW to go from 10 to 80% in 26 minutes. In addition, it presents a specific chassis tuning, which includes a sportier adaptive suspension.

On an aesthetic level it also presents changes to distinguish itself from the rest of the range. The bumpers are typical of the GTX version and a new lighting signature stands out, with the arrow-shaped daytime running lights integrated into the lower part. As standard it comes with 20-inch wheels and wider tires (215 mm), while the GTX signature appears in several places. That includes a sportier rear thanks, mainly, to being partially tinted in black and a more prominent diffuser.
