Naming a production supercar after a driver is a gesture that only reflects the greatness of Ayrton Senna. We all agree that the Brazilian left too soon and that his potential was incredible. He was recently honored at the Imola Grand Prix, just 30 years after his death on the track. Now the McLaren Senna Semper arrives to reconnoitre the square. It is a Senna with a special livery that they want to reflect the personality of the driver. It is a logical move on the part of the British manufacturer, since the driver was with them between 1988 and 1993, winning three Formula 1 championships. In fact, a special configuration has also been created for the MCL38 cars that Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will drive in the Monaco Grand Prix. It is no coincidence that good old Ayrton won there five consecutive times in his time with McLaren. As it could not be otherwise, the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) department is the one that created this unique example in collaboration with the Ayrton Senna Institute. They have tried to pay tribute to him through various premises such as his search for perfection, his Brazilian nationality or McLaren's history in competitions. That's why they took a pre-production Senna that they had used for different areas and started with a complete transformation. They began by applying striking colors to its bodywork, with blue tones in the lower part of the front bumper and the Senna double S logo in the cross section. The green and yellow tones are the protagonists, representing the Brazilian flag, while giving life to the protagonist of the tribute. There are two images of Ayrton Senna on the rear wings, something that has been done entirely by hand with a dot matrix effect. The satin carbon fiber and the rims provide the point of contrast.
