[Software] Goodbye to the VPN Segura de Google One: The closing date arrives earlier than expected

Initially, everything pointed to Google was going to close the service for the end of the year. However, it seems that the company does not want to continue to keep a service that its users does not use, and has stepped on the accelerator for closing. In this way, as the company has reported today, the Internet giant will close its VPN, without going any further, in less than a month.

Google One VPN closing date
Google has just confirmed that all Google One users who use the VPN will no longer be able to connect to it from June 20 of this year. That is, in just over a month, this advantage we obtained next to the subscription will stop working.

Google has confirmed that the reason is precisely the little po[CENSORED]rity of its service. But that does not mean that this type of services will be disregarded, much less. Google has confirmed that its Pixel devices (from 7 onwards) will receive an integrated VPN function totally free as part of the brand's added value. This function will come in the form of an OTA update on June 3 and, since then, its users can continue using free Google VPN even after its closure.

In Android we will not have to do anything, since this will automatically disable in case of having it enabled when the service is ceased. And, in Windows, what we will have to do is uninstall the VPN app that we install on the PC when we first use this service. This app can be found within the configuration panel, in the application and characteristics section, in the "VPN of Google One VPN section.

Alternatives to sail safe
If we do not have a Pixel phone, there is no more possibilities to use a Google VPN inside Android. But, luckily, this is not (or far) the only way we have to establish a safe connection on the mobile. In Play Store we can find many apps to set up a virtual private network, both free and paid, to continue connecting to the Internet safely.

Even Google, despite the closure of its VPN, continues to offer within the ONE package the possibility of analyzing the Deep Web in search of credentials and other stolen data to act and avoid falling into the claws of the pirates.
