Every April 23, English Language Day is celebrated, a date chosen to pay tribute to the world-famous William Shakespeare, considered one of the greatest writers of all time.

This day, but in the year 1616, the poet and playwright died. The United Nations (UN) implemented this commemoration in 2010 in order to encourage cultural diversity and multilingualism.

Shakespeare's works range from comedy to tragedy, and have been among the most covered, so his contribution to literature and theater remains current.

Romeo and Juliet
It could be said that it becomes one of the most universally known creations. This book, which places love and tragedy in equal relevance, has become a milestone in the history of theater and literature, in general.

It was written in 1597 and tells the dramatic relationship between two young people belonging to rival families in Verona at the dawn of the Renaissance. This one ends with a sad ending. It represents a symbol of limitless emotions, love in youth and determination.
