Despite what you may think, it is quite common and happens, above all, on external hard drives. It will always appear here. If it appears black, it means it is an unformatted drive with no volume assigned. We must right click on the drive in question and then, in the menu that opens, we will say format. Something that this option has and not the previous one is the possibility of creating or combining partitions. This is useful if we want a storage unit to have two or more independent pools. One may be private, ours, and the other we may want to share with the other members of the network. This process is a bit slow and will depend on the storage unit.
