[Moto] Motorcycle sales in March: the BMW R 1300 GS surprises

During the month of March, 8,228 scooters were registered (a drop of 11 percent compared to 2023) and 7,960 motorcycles (almost 8 percent less). Mopeds fell by 13 percent (826 units) and electric motorcycles fell a lot again (only 528 units, which is 32 percent less). Tricycles, for their part, also fell significantly (271 units, which is 40 percent less).

This is why it is not understood that the Sustainable Mobility Law project does not take the motorcycle into account, and that in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans promoted in different municipalities in Spain, the motorcycle does not have its own chapter. It is necessary that the different regulations be reviewed and that the motorcycle be given its rightful place.”

Honda, Yamaha NMAX125 and... BMW R 1300 GS!
By brands, Honda continues to lead the market with almost 24 percent ahead of a strong Yamaha (16 percent): between the two Japanese they have 40 percent of the market right now. KYMCO remains in third position further (6.8 percent of the “pie”) ahead of a very strong BMW in March (third of the month). Behind them, Kawasaki (4.4 percent), Piaggio (4.4%) and SYM (4.2%). By model, the Yamaha NMAX 125 once again stands out, maintaining the lead for the year, followed by the Honda PCX 125 and the Honda SH 125i. The sixth Honda ADV350 of the month (eighth cumulatively) and especially the new BMW R 1300 GS, tenth overall in March with 217 registered units, draw attention.
