The Merchant is a mysterious figure who happens to have guns, ammo, upgrades, and healing items – we don’t care where he gets his supplies from. We just care about buying them. You first meet Resident Evil 4’s Merchant in chapter two after Leon wakes up in a house by the valley. The mysterious man in a fashionable cloak beckons the Raccoon City survivor to come outside, where he proceeds to act as a shopkeeper. Not only can you buy useful items and gear from him, but you can also upgrade your weapons.

It’s worth checking in with him frequently, as he often has exclusive offers on his various firearms, all of which only appear in specific chapters so if you don’t take advantage of the deal, it’s likely off the table the next time you see him.
