GL HERO SHIMA Posted March 27, 2024 Posted March 27, 2024 Two boys, aged 11 and 12, have been charged after an alleged burglary at an environmental college during which a number of animals died. A break-in was reported at Capel Manor College in Gunnersbury Park, west London, on 25 February. A barn owl called Shiraz escaped but was recovered at a warehouse near Heathrow Airport. The boys are accused of two counts of burglary and one of animal cruelty. They are due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Thursday. Staff said animals had been killed during the alleged break-in and enclosures damaged, the Met Police said. The college's website says it specialises in environmental teaching, offering young people and adults the opportunity to take care of its estates, gardens, farm and zoos. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-68554158
