Now, with a new statement from the studio, we can confirm the suspicion of many players: it is a bug.

We are aware of a problem with the ray tracing option, which does not appear in the graphics and presets menu," Capcom explains in the tweet that you have just above of these lines. Beyond the absence of ray tracing, it is important to note that another of the problems detected by Capcom has to do with the option of 3D audio. According to the image that accompanies the Twitter message, this sound system also does not appear in the options dedicated to audio in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, but a correction is expected along with the bug related to ray tracing activation.
