Noticias ALEJANDRO Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 Declared Cultural Heritage of Venezuela, the Dimensión Latina orchestra still has a lot to give and continues to contribute musically, affirmatively Venezuelan, sociologically, culturally, and more. Two of the founders of the legendary group that has reached its 52 years of activity to the glory of Venezuela and Salsa, returned their memories to before the founding of the orchestra, to where each of the six was, that they all met. They knew and were involved in the nightlife of Caracas, each on their own. Memories that give enjoyment to the experience and also contextualization, although there is still much to investigate. On countless occasions it has been possible to interview the founding members of the Latin Dimension. They are very conversational and have no qualms about telling about their beginnings, starting difficulties and subsequent successes. The public, the music lovers know it and that is why its declaration as Cultural Heritage of Venezuela was greatly celebrated, but there is a behind-the-scenes story that leads us to appreciate exactly what that founding moment was like. There was the home of Enrique “Culebra” Iriarte. It was Wednesday, and those who arrived to give life to that founding nucleus were: Elio Pacheco (Congas, percussion), Cesar “Albóndiga” Monges (Trombone, choirs and arranger), Enrique “Culebra” Iriarte (Piano), who was already in his house, meeting place, José “Joseito” Rodríguez (Timbal and Bongó), José Rojas “Rojitas” (Trombone and choirs) and Oscar Emilio León (Voice and Bass). It was a sextet just as Oscar León dreamed of and whose dream came true for Enrique Iriarte. Xlick
