“Let us, the living, love the living, for good things will be dead later.” This is how verse LXX of the Trilce collection of poems reads. This text denotes the author's search for a personal and authentic poetic creation. He is considered one of the most important within the Latin American avant-garde.

Scales (1923)
Escalas or melographed Escalas (as it is also known) constitutes the first work published by Vallejo written in prose and is made up of a series of stories and short stories, among which "Beyond life and death", "Los caynas" stand out. and “Wax”.

Wild Story (1923)
This was the second prose published by Vallejo, a few months after Escalas. This short novel, classified as a psychological novel, came to light in the form of a 49-page pamphlet published as the ninth number of the po[CENSORED]r collection published by La Novela Peruana.

Tungsten (1931)
This social novel or proletarian novel written by the Peruvian writer was published in Madrid. It has been recognized as one of the most influential works in the development of the narrative of the cultural current known as indigenism.

The work denounces the dangers and humiliations to which Peru was exposed due to the imperialist penetration that occurred through, above all, the transnational mining companies.
