[Sport] Lionel Messi and Inter Miami arrive in Hong Kong as part of their first international tour

Lionel Messi and Major League Soccer team Inter Miami arrived in Hong Kong on Friday afternoon for a friendly match this weekend as part of their first international tour.
According to a CNN crew at the airport, the team landed around 2:35 p.m. local time (1:35 a.m. Miami time) at Hong Kong International Airport, where a welcome ceremony will be held.

The team is expected to hold an open training session on Saturday at 05:30 p.m. local time (4:30 a.m. Miami time) and that the main match against the Hong Kong team begins on Sunday at around 04:00 p.m. local time (03:00 a.m. Miami time).

"We are very happy to visit Hong Kong and Asia for the first time," said Jorge Mas, managing owner of Inter Miami CF, when the tour was announced in December, according to a club statement. "From the beginning we set out to be a global club at Inter Miami. This is a wonderful opportunity to do so. We hope to excite and inspire new Inter Miami fans in Hong Kong and across Asia who share our passion for football."

Inter Miami CF's visit comes after the team played two games in Saudi Arabia this week and before a game in Tokyo on February 7 as part of the tour.
