Deportivo Independiente Medellín made official the arrival of Baldomero Perlaza, who left Colombia in 2022 for Argentine football when he was wearing the Atlético Nacional shirt. The team announced its new reinforcement with a video in which the team's mascot, president Daniel Ossa and the player, were the protagonists.

Perlaza arrives at DIM after his time at Colón de Santa Fe where he played for two years as an interior player, was in 50 games and scored two goals. When it was learned that he had been free after leaving the Argentine team, teams like América de Cali and Independiente Santa Fe showed interest.

However, it was Medellín that decided on the midfielder to reinforce the midfield and accompany players like Jaime Alvarado, David Loaiza, Diego Moreno and Pablo Lima in the structure of coach Alfredo Arias, runner-up in Liga II-2023.

In this way, Perlaza joins José Aja, Pablo Lima, Jhon Vásquez, Kener Valencia and Eder Chaux. The goalkeeper had been the most recent arrival to the team. He arrived on loan from Patriotas for one year with a purchase option and after his time at Once Caldas in the last two seasons of Colombian professional football.

Also José Aja, with a past in Independiente Santa Fe, who acknowledged that he was requested by coach Arias, “it is a coaching staff that I know very well, we had to work together in Santa Fe and we had a great championship. He later left the team and his absence was felt a bit when the better team was playing. That was one of the main reasons why he came to Medellín, because I know how professional he is. When he called me because he wanted to talk to me, the truth is that I was excited to work together again. “They did very well last semester, they missed that championship for nothing.”

Who is Baldomero Perlaza?
Baldomero Perlaza was born in Tuluá on June 2, 1992, he is 31 years old, 1.87 meters tall and 82 kilograms.
