[Auto] Nissan Ariya Nismo 2024: more chicha for the electric, at least in Japan

Now that electric cars are starting to be the norm, manufacturers have to go one step further and offer new things. It seems that the next step will be to make sporty electric vehicles, which increase performance and also the driver's sensations. Although many say that it is not possible or that it will not be the same as in combustion models, there are examples like the Nissan Ariya Nismo 2024 that will try to prove the opposite. It is a performance version of the electric crossover that will only be sold, for the moment, in Japan.

 

 

The truth is that already having a model like the Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE, the needs of most customers were met. However, its foundation has been taken and improved by the Nissan Nismo team to offer a higher level of power and other additional goodies. We are talking about there will be two Ariya Nismos in your local market, the B6 e-4ORCE and the B9 e-4ORCE. In the first, 367 HP and 560 Nm of torque are achieved, nothing surprising if we take into account that in our market there is a version with 394 HP that surpasses it.

 

 

However, the Nismo B9 e-4ORCE would be the true top of the range thanks to its 435 HP and 600 Nm of torque. Their features have not yet been revealed, but they promise a lot. The reason there are two versions is that one stays with the 66 kWh battery and the top of the range opts for the 91 kWh one. In addition to these improvements in terms of power, which is made with a software modification, this model also has an optional sound that is inspired by that emitted by the brand's racing vehicles in Formula E. There are more modifications made by Nismo in this Ariya. The e-4ORCE all-wheel drive has been optimized, as has the chassis to offer a more direct response in corners. It wears high-performance tires on its 20-inch wheels and also debuts some changes in its aesthetics. The new bumpers optimize its aerodynamics, reducing its resistance. Inside it is also a full-fledged Nismo thanks to details such as sports seats and higher quality materials.
