[News] Inamhi predicts that high intensity rains will continue with scattered storms in Ecuador

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inamhi) issued a meteorological alert for rain and storms that will be in effect until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2024. High intensity rains are expected to continue with scattered storms, especially in the north and interior of the Coast, south of the Sierra and Amazonia. The largest magnitude events may occur between the night of January 12 and 14, 2024.

 

 

Water pooling is likely to occur in susceptible homes, businesses and roads. Road conditions could be affected by standing water, landslides and fog banks.
