Geeknetic Cómo crear un Pendrive USB de instalación de Windows sin aplicaciones de terceros 2

For some time now, users have had several tools that automate a somewhat tedious task: creating a bootable USB to install Windows. However, you do not have to install anything to carry out this operation. You can do it all with an ISO and the command prompt (CMD). Carefully follow the steps that I include in this guide to fully understand this procedure.

As you complete the steps, you will learn the appropriate commands to generate a Windows installation USB. You should know that this is a totally universal method, which you can carry out on any version of the system. Likewise, it will allow you to have a bootable device for older versions of Windows, for which Microsoft already offers automated tools. The first step you must complete is to download the Windows ISO. If what you want is to install the latest version of the operating system, open this link to access the official download page. There you will find the Download Windows 11 disk image (ISO) section. You just have to select the edition and language. Then, click on the download button to obtain the ISO image. Obviously, these steps are indicated if you want to have a bootable USB for Windows 11. However, it is also possible to download the Windows 10 ISO, a system that is currently supported by Microsoft. In case you are looking for the image of a previous version, it will not be very difficult for you. Just a quick search on the Internet will bring up several sites offering you a free download of Windows 8, Windows 7, and more.

For now, you don't have to do anything with the ISO you downloaded. Save it in a directory that you remember, for example, in the Downloads folder, and go to the next section.

CMD to the rescue! Prepare the USB to function as a boot device
Using the command prompt, or CMD, we are going to format and prepare the USB to work as a boot device. You will have to do this by executing a series of commands that I will now detail. Please note that to install a modern version of Windows, you will need a memory stick of at least 8 GB. If it is an older version, probably one of 4 GB or less will be enough.

Using Windows Search, locate the CMD, and then click Run as administrator. Next, a notice will appear on the screen in which you must press Yes to continue.
