You probably have a monitor, tablet, laptop, television, or any device with a screen and you don't remember how many inches it is. Furthermore, you no longer have the box and you cannot find the model of your equipment to search for it online. No problem.

The easiest way to do this is with a simple ruler or tape measure, you won't need anything else. And it is the most reliable way that can exist, not even the details of the model itself that you may have seen on the internet, since sometimes they are wrong, or do not refer to your specific version.

How do I know the inches of my screen?
As I said, it's very easy. The first thing you will have to do is find something to measure it with. We recommend a flexible, plastic measuring tape to avoid accidentally scratching your screen. A metal or even plastic ruler could leave accidental marks, and we don't want that.

Well, now that you have it, you just have to take the two opposite ends that you want, that is, diagonally, the upper right part and the lower left, for example. And draw the line from the beginning of the screen, do not count the edges, that is, only what the image reflects, not the entire frame.

And that's it, there's little else I can tell you, you already know how to calculate inches, and the reason why some are narrower, others more square, and yet the data doesn't add up. It will not depend on the area, but on its dimensions. A 2x2 square monitor will be a few inches smaller than a 4x1, yet the area will be the same.
