To endorse his theory, Grubb has come to say that he knows that Microsoft is canceling some products because it wants to focus on that date in the fiscal year of 2026 to launch a new generation of consoles that, by the way, we do not know how something like that the market could take it. At the end of the day we are talking – in the case of Spain for example – of absolute hegemony of PS5 and we highly doubt that those who have bought the Sony machine are going to make the leap to the rival.

Especially if we take into account that we have entered a series of generations of machines where backward compatibility is key and everything we bought from the old consoles can continue to be used in the new ones. And there, no matter how much Microsoft wants to get ahead, it has lost the battle and it will be very difficult for it to come back.
