With the unveiling of the work “The Thinker of the Future” on the front of the CEINA Cultural Center, the organizers launched the thirteenth version of the Future Congress 2024. The same place that during the week of January 15 to 20 will be transformed into a portal to the future. It is an adaptation of the work “The Thinker” by Auguste Rodin, optimized with AI that allows the 3-meter-high, 250-kilogram metal sculpture to not only reflect, but also dialogue and respond with its own voice. the questions of the attendees.

During the activity, the complete list of exhibitors - national and international - who will come to dialogue and reflect with citizens was announced, and whose headquarters will be the commune of Santiago; in addition to adding activities in all regions of the country. An unmissable panorama for this summer that, among its novelties, incorporates a new format, adding to the central exhibitions of internationally relevant speakers, a series of parallel activities among which stand out: interactive workshops on artificial intelligence and scientific dissemination; immersive experiences in the Metaverse; artistic installations; and a literary fair where the most important national, international and university publishers will be present; in addition to a health fair with AI that will show the practical and most relevant uses that artificial intelligence can have to improve the lives of human beings.

The event, organized by the Senate - through the Future Challenges Commission - and the Future Encounters Foundation (FEF), has the support of the Ministry of Science.

 

 

The Chamber of Deputies, the Chilean Academy of Sciences, and all the country's universities. Future Congress seeks to identify, anticipate and transfer cutting-edge knowledge on the major problems of the future on a planetary scale, so as not to improvise solutions in the present.

For the Executive Vice President of the Encuentros del Futuro Foundation, Guido Girardi, Congreso Futuro generates a meeting point, “At a time of polarization of society, Congreso Futuro is one of the few places that unites Chile in pursuit of building a better future. , more humane and sustainable. How important that there is a space that unites the left and the right, politics with the universities, the Senate with the Chamber of Deputies and all of these, with businessmen and civil society. Chile needs a meeting and Congreso Futuro does that.”

During the week of the Future Congress 2024, exhibitors will also travel to various regions of the country, with the purpose of addressing issues that impact the territories and their inhabitants, guaranteeing the transfer of knowledge from these outstanding thinkers to local communities. Depending on the region they visit, they will address content designed especially for them, such as: drug design, AI ethics, and ocean pollution from plastics, among other topics.
