Doubly, Maxus decided to quickly expand its portfolio of SUVs, with the help of the D60 (you can read more in this note) and the enormous D90, which is the largest and most capable model that the brand represented by Andes Motor offers in the country.

The D90, despite having three rows of seats, comes to fight in the segment of "true" all-terrain SUVs, based on a ladder chassis. Among these we can find exponents such as Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Trailblazer (discontinued), Mitsubishi Montero Sport (discontinued) and at the top, the Ssangyong Rexton.

The Maxus D90 was officially released in 2016 in China and was also sold under the MG Gloster name in other markets. Just as the T60 truck has evolved over time, the D90 has done its thing, therefore it does not look much like the original model since its features are much higher; We could say that it is like the "SUV" version of the T90 truck.

Maxus D90: dimensions and design

Length: 5,046 mm
Width: 2,046 mm
Height: 1,876 mm
Between axles: 2,950 mm
Trunk:
343 liters to the roof (three rows deployed)

1,350 liters to the roof (third row folded)
Clearance: 210 mm
The D90, although it uses the base of the T90, is taller, narrower and shorter than the truck, but it is still a spacious model. Its design takes a lot from the T90 and we wouldn't blame you if you confuse them from the front, but they are different, especially because it has a grille with a different design, a higher hood, slightly thinner headlights (with LED technology as standard) and a very bulky.

From the side, with the black handles and wheel arches, it looks like a new "Land Cruiser Prado", with a very square silhouette. At the back, it reveals elongated lights joined across the width of the tailgate and a bumper with square exhaust outlets. If we add the black roof, the spoiler, the sills, the black details and the two-tone wheels, it gives a very aggressive look that quickly sets it apart from the rest of its rivals.

To identify the different versions, the base model (Elite) has a manual opening trunk, 18" wheels, automatic Full LED lighting, spoiler and electric mirrors with defroster as standard. The next two versions (Luxury, Flagship) have 20" wheels. ", electric gate and electric roof (sunroof in Luxury, panoramic in Flagship). In addition, the Flagship model comes standard with a tow hook with a 13-pin electrical connector.

Maxus D90: interior and equipment

The interior of the D90 does not resort to luxury like Rexton or the modernity of the Maxus T90 itself, but rather it looks more functional and off-road, with some very interesting details such as the larger air vents, the handle on the glove compartment and the two modules with knobs to select traction and driving modes. It also has two trays to store phones and some interesting storage compartments.

The Elite model equipment includes:

Dual zone air conditioning (actually first and second row) with own commands for second row and rear air vents
Eco-leather tapestry
Manually adjustable seats
Electric windows
Multifunction leather steering wheel
